waste of paper I really don't like how it waste so much paper space. I received the item 3 days ago and yes, I may have labeled several items, there is a significant waste of paper space before and after the word. I should have listened to previous reviews but the price went down by $10 when I purchased it. If you are thinking of buying this, think again.
Defective product I believe I received a defective item. When I put the required batteries in and pressed the power button, the screen read, Battery box empty. I tried removing the batteries and inserting again and it read the same message. I tried removing and inserting the batteries several times and sometimes the P-touch wouldn’t turn on. Brother tanking advantage of consumers once again!! Wastes label paper unnecessarily. I believe it’s just ploy by brother to hose the consumer again with an inexpensive product and expensive consumables. It’s their modus operandi. I can’t stand this business practice.
...... To much extra tape wasted
Wastes tons of tape Printing out a single letter uses 3 inches of tape (1.5 before and 1.5 after). Chews through refills.
Poor screen quality Only problem I had with it was that I couldn't see the what was written on the screen
Print is Small! This is bulky to carry around and prints very very small! I had to purchase a different one because I couldn’t read the print from more than standard “reading distance”. The font just could not get large enough to work for my intended purpose - which was to label the shelves in my cabinets. This would be a good size for labeling folders or smaller things though!
Hard to work Stopped working after 10 months. Went to change batteries 6 AAA to find some had exploded.
Waste of Money and Tape Have a label maker from a different company in my office, but thought I would go with this model for my home. That was the wrong choice. First the tape is EXTREMELY costly. Second the label maker wastes a ton of tape, seemingly by design. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
