Get directionsWe had dinner here before going to the ballet at the Met. Great guacamole as an appetizer. Had the Cobb salad with lobster. Yummy! Our waitress was great, gave us a glass of champagne for my moms bday and cotton candy.
That's all I want to remember is the dessert and the presentation of it. They do not have a kid menu but the server advised us (prior to even asking) they could split a hamburger and fries. Perfect. I ordered the chicken and it was almost better than Ruth Chris's chicken. However the dessert was amazing! For the first time I had a perfect chocolate mousse. I would go back and order it first next time and eat it before my entrée.
We hadn't eaten at the Redeye for several years and that was a mistake. It was excellent. From the way we were greeted (warm friendly smile), to the menu ( lobster & crab cob salad and chicken schnitzel) the of course banana cream pie for dessert. Service was attentive and bar had great entertainment. Wonderful experience for our only night in NYC before a cruise. We'll be back!
You can always count on quality food, excellent service and a management that is committed to be responsive to their customers. Having eaten at the RedEye both for brunch, lunch, and dinner over the last four years, only had one experience where it did not measure up to my demanding standards. Instead of 5 stars, it ranked at 4 stars. When brought to the attention of the management it was addressed completely to my satisfaction--this illustrates that they know what service means.
one little problem that we encountered was a very hard French toast that one of the group had difficulty with but the rest great as usual.
Nice place to dine in the atrium!
Our friend who lives here suggested we try this restaurant. We were seated in the atrium, where we could see the people walking by, but it was quiet. Our waiter was great. They had a prix fixe menu for $45 which was a good deal. I had the calamari for an appetizer, and it was tender and the breading was tasty and light. I had salmon for the entree, and it was cooked perfectly. The tiramisu for dessert was very good, and I loved the wine selection- they had my favorite by the glass.
Great night out especially with the live music. Food was fresh and tasteful
Great menu. A little pricey. Loved seafood lasagna. Fairly noisy, but side room off bar was smaller and more intimate and not as noisy. Had a great corner semicircle booth. Would go back.
