We go there for many years now before events at either carnegie hall or lincoln center. we have been very happy there for many years. The service is very nice and helpful.
Great food, great service, great table. Didn't disappoint. Ate here last year loved it, ditto this time!!
We've been to the Red Eye Grill many times, and it is always outstanding in every way. This experience was no different
This place is in the heart of NYC, and right across from Carnegie Hall. I made reservations for 830pm on a Saturday night with a party of 8. We arrived early, and were instantly seated to our table. The place wasn't too busy, and had some open tables. There was live music which added to the ambiance of the place, but a bit loud and had trouble enjoying table conversations. dinner was good, waited 30 minutes for our 8pm reservation, were offered a prosecco while we waited which was nice, The singer in the lounge was good and we enjoyed listening to her and the piano player. It was Christmas day so maybe people were taking their time , service was ok, ceaser salad was missing anchovies, had to flag down waiter, med well steaks were well done and dry . 2 out of 4 steaks were good. my family and i have been going to Red Eye Grill for the last 4 years for Christmas lunch. my family comes in from Texas,and this is totally their favorite restaurant in NYC! :-) the staff, glynna, caroline and jerry are amazing! the atmosphere is amazing, the food is amazing, and the service is amazing! Festive place if you are in the neighborhood. Good but not great food. Average service.
Stick with the steaks - that is what they are good for. It is quiet enough that you can actually talk there.
