Get directionsWe stopped in after a show and were glad we did. The menu had many choices that looked amazing! We had a nice table in the front section which was small and quiet. Look forward to eating there again!
Went here before attending Carnegie Hall. The service was decent, however for New York, and most importantly for Manhattan, the food just wasn't lacking. After being in New York for a week, I would say that we came to expect high quality food preparation. The service was here and there, not incredibly attentive. The bathrooms were a mess. The bar entertainment was spectacular. The price was ridiculous for the quality of food. I would not recommend this place for the price. There are so many other options available in close p... read more
Very unique international brunch menu that we all enjoyed. Comfortable room with cool art, roomy seating at good sized tables that aren't crammed together like in many NYC restaurants. Friendly, attentive service. Give it a 4 plus!
The experience from start to finish was impeccable. The raw bar was fresh. The menu was diverse with something for everyone. We had the filet which was perfect. The ambiance and service was top shelf. It's a bit pricey but if you are due to treat yourself you can't beat the Redeye Grill.
We booked this because its in the neighborhood and it always has a good food and service. They really treated us well. I asked for quiet table in my reservation because one of our diners has trouble hearing in crowded places and they paid attention to my request. That doesn't always happen. Food was excellent.
Stopping at the Red Eye Grill for dinner before a concert across the street at Carnegie Hall was the best idea of the day. Our attentive wait staff was great with service, suggestions, and surprises. Let me stop and say the weather outside was cold and the inside of Red Eye was warm and welcoming. Because of the weather, it made great sense to order comfort food so we tried the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese and the Shrimp and Crab Lasagne. Best macaroni Ive ever had and I love macaroni. There was entertainment at the bar which... read more
Our table for four was complete by about 6:18PM and we were served at a comfortable pace to make our 8PM performance. Portions were more than ample and preparation was first rate, though a luke warm soup needed heating. One of our party was a vegan and though there were really no vegan or vegetarian entrees, a satisfactory combination of vegetable sides made for a nice meal. The sesame coated tuna I had was superb and two diners were very satisfied with their scallops. Prices though not cheap were moderate by New York standa... read more
The fixed price menu offered good value. The grilled trout was good as a main course and the calamari starter was OK. The service was quick but impersonal. The half bottle of chablis was also good value.
Tomahawk steak and lobster truffle Mac and cheese were outstanding. Desserts of banana Creme pie and chocolate mousse pie were amazing, melt in your mouth, delicious
