Took my 5 months old kitten in when it had diarrhea. It had only been sick for 8 hours, so I just took it in to be on the safe side. The doctor recommended doing test for 670 dollars, I declined half, but still ended up paying over 300 dollars for test - all of which I've shouldn't have gotten. Let me start by saying that if I could give zero stars, I would. I have been coming to Value Pet Clinic for the last three years or so, and they started off great! I have three small dogs, and they have the usual small dog teeth issues the require an annual cleaning, along with water additives, dental chews, etc., which I do all of. I started going to Value Pet Clinic because it was more affordable than the other vets that I could find for doing their annual cleanings, along with needed vaccinations each year. I've always trusted and appreciated this place for the affordable service and the ability to be seen same day, but it has steadily been going downhill. The wait times have been getting longer and longer and it has come to the point where I can't spend all day at the vet for my dogs to get shots. We have had to wait over a hour to be seen and then in the room they will make you wait for another hour to see the vet and then wait again outside to get the bill. Have been taking my dogs to this clinic for 10 years or more. They are great for shots and getting your pet fixed or putting your pet down. For ANYTHING else I would spend the extra money else where. I just put my dog down and paid a lot of money for them to see what was wrong and they couldn't figure it out...this week I brought my German Shephard in for a really bad hot spot that was infected. Probably a good place for a general exam where you can fill out your info online and get your first exam free but when your pet is actually having an issue they're slow to follow-up and really didn't seem to have any answers or concern that my dog was having bladder issues. Will not be back.
If I could I'd give a negative review, I would. Yesterday morning my rabbit was dazed not breathing well and hurt. He must've fell from his platform late in the night. We took him to many vets due to vets not being in and busy schedules. We stopped by this one and when we walked in they said they didn't take rabbits but seeing how exhausted he was they took him to the back to a vet and when they came out and the first thing they said was he was dying and that we should put him down... My cat who is three got very sick all of a sudden. I was so scared, and this happened at a time when money was definitely an issue. So any place with value in the name caught my eye. I took here there for three days in a row, she saw three different vets, and every single one told me something different. On the second day when I expressed concern, the vert gave me serious attitude. Today my dog got into my garbage while I was at work! Came home to him acting like he had just had a seizure. It was 4:45pm and I live 10 minutes away from the Renton clinic I called they told me to come in. My dog has been on a prescription prescribed from one of their veterinarians for 5 days. When I was close I recalled to inform them I was still on my way it took 2 minutes longer then expected. Would NOT reccomend. They called to tell me my cats medication was ready & that the medication would be the last dosage they would give, before I had to take my cat in for an annual exam (which was fine). I went in 8 days after they called & the receptionist said that it was reshelved (which I had NO idea they had a reshelving policy) & she said it would be ready the next day most likely.
