On a Friday afternoon I took my cat for an annual shot update. There were two other people in the clinic when I arrived. The wait time to get in was not too bad. An assistant took my cat's temp and weighted him. About 5-10 minutes later a vet arrived. He introduced himself and started to pet my cat. He checked the cat's teeth and recommended a cleaning. I asked for a quote on cleaning costs. He started to give the shots to the cat while chatting about flea medications and he recommended a new product. The total time he ... read more

I have been waiting for almost an hour and a half to get both my dogs rabies vaccinations. First of all when I came in they had no record of my dog ever being here and this is the only clinic that my dog is been to. This isn't the first time that they have misplaced or just lost them!! I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience like this! I think it's time for a new pet clinic.

This place is okay. I use to come here because I thought I was saving money. To be honest, I'm not! The staff is not friendly. It's like going to the DMV, they treat you and your four-legged child like a number.... NEXT! The nice thing is, they take walk-ins. I feel Meh about this place. Definitely looking for a new place for my four- legged child's care.

Business response:

Gabriela, we are sorry that you feel this way and appreciate your feedback. It is always our number one priority to provide exceptional veterinary care and client service, so we are sad to hear you don't feel this to be the case. I have been using this clinic for a long time. Wait times continue to increase as do the charges for simple exams and vaccinations. Last time there was a 3 hour trip from start to finish - WAY too long! I received an estimate of almost $1700 to have my dog's teeth cleaned and the loose ones pulled - the estimate cost me an exam fee. Two days ago, at a different vet's office, I paid $509 for the work! Received an email that they are going to start charging exam fees along with vaccinations - so no longer will they be affor... read more

We've been coming to Value Pet since they opened. Always would come back because it's convenient to our home even though I had lingering concerns about constant doctor turnover, seeing a different doctor every time who would never know our dogs personally, longer and longer wait times and escalating prices. Today was the last straw. My dog had a mass removed from her neck 1.5 months ago. I mentioned to my husband after the surgery that the incision didn't look very well done and I had a suspicion she would have problems w... read more

Go here if you have to for monetary reasons, otherwise look elsewhere. My cat waited 8 hours before getting his teeth cleaned. He was there all day doing nothing. Too stressful for a 13 year old cat but they did not consider that. Other things happened but I won't go into it. Word of caution-Go for checkups and a vaccine, nothing else.

Business response:

We greatly value your feedback, Alyssa. In order to ensure the safety and well-being of a pet after any surgical procedure, our protocol is to monitor that pet to ensure they're ready to go home. We can assure you that all pets are treated with the highest level of care, so they can enjoy their road to recovery. We apologize for any miscommunication and if you would like to express your concerns, please give us a call at your earliest convenience.

If you love your pet, do NOT take them to this clinic. My poor pup got neutered here today. The doctors and staff didn't care to explain anything to me. My dog has been miserable all day and after taking his bandage off on his arm I discovered that they left the IV needle in him. I called an emergency room and they immediately took it out with no charge. They were shocked to see that the value pet clinic had left it in his arm. I'm never taking him back to this clinic ever again. They don't seem to care about the well being ... read more

My elderly mother bought her cat here because he seemed like he wasn't feeling well and hadn't used his litter box. They determined it was a bladder issue and had to do surgery. They did the surgery and THEN told my mom she couldn't leave him there overnight since they had no overnight staff. This is something they should have made clear BEFORE the surgery. They suggested she bring him to 'a place over by Ikea' to the tune of 500 bucks per night. She had just spent over 1400 on the surgery and couldn't afford any more, so th... read more

Took my 5 months old kitten in when it had diarrhea. It had only been sick for 8 hours, so I just took it in to be on the safe side. The doctor recommended doing test for 670 dollars, I declined half, but still ended up paying over 300 dollars for test - all of which I've shouldn't have gotten. They made me scared something serious was wrong with all their fancy words. Later the same day my cat was fine. It obviously just had an upset stomach. I had a similar experience taking in my adult cat for a check up. They used doct... read more
