My Wife and I ordered my wedding ring from Rogers & Holland back in Late Dec 2017. We were told my ring would be ready for pickup in early Jan. When we went to pickup my ring, it was the wrong size. They sent it back to the manufacturer and told us they would expedite the shipping to 2 days return time. A week goes by and they finally receive the ring. This place is an absolute joke. I had put down money to hold a piece of jewelery. I cancelled the down payment and they wouldnt give me my money back. After a certain time they can cancel your order but are supposed to call the customer to notify them of this procedure. No call what-so-ever no notification on anything. They said they wouldnt give me my money back because it was applied to a restocking fee. Had a very terrible experience with customer service. Bought a ring. Two months later a stone fell out. Had it fixed. A week later it fell out again. Went to the store to explain the situation not asking for a refund but store credit to purchase something of equal value thinking there was a design defect. The man was confrontational. He blamed me because he saw a piece of lint in the bag he said my sweater caused the damage. To my knowledge sweaters can't destroy metal. I love the jewelry at R&H but the customer service at the closest location to me (Peoria, IL) leaves a lot to be desired. At only one occasion (trying on engagement rings) was the experience pleasant. I've had to go back for sizing, to pick out and purchase my husband's ring and each time, the employee helping me has been abrupt and blunt, treating me like I'm a nuisance to them. INFERIOR QUALITY AND HIGH PRICES!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I had been a customer in years past, so I decided to splurge and buy my daughter an $800 diamond and morganite ring as a special gift. In the time we've had it, the small diamonds have come out 5 times. It may be the same stone that keeps falling out. My 3rd time here, 3rd chance to this place, this store is a joke! This time I bough a bracelet and left it on a Wednesday for resizing and was told the work is doable and will be ready by Saturday, its Wednesday today, a week after and still no call until I decided to ask them what's up. I call them and I find out it's still not ready because they needed some "parts" and my approval for the work to be done but guess what?! Due to my warranty coverage on my engagement ring, I had to fly back to IL for a day to get my rings checked. Unfortunately, I stopped at R & H at Woodfield Mall first since it was closest to the airport... The blonde associate (who ignored me and chatted with another associate until I approached them since there was only 1 other customer in the store) didn't even check the stones before throwing it into the cleaning machine! Bear in mind with this review, I had no prior knowledge of diamonds, rings, settings/bands etc. I chose to purchase my engagement ring, here, based on reviews from friends (word of mouth). One word incompetence I took in my Movado watch to get fixed And I had to write up my own service order that's a first Then I get a phone call that my watch is Back & ready for pick up after TWO months I show up to pick up my watch and I got back the same broken watch ! Doesn't anyone check what they're doing? I've bought ALL my Movado in OakBrook R&H I've never had a problem even for repair service there . This place just doesn't care for costumer service
