Just came out of this Rogers and Holland's hoping I'd like the people better here than at the Vernon Hills location. Nope......just as rude and unfriendly. Two ladies behind the cases, one of which did my 6 month well-check on my beautiful and EXPENSIVE diamond tennis bracelet. No chit chat. No smile. No comment on the bracelet and how pretty it was. I went here Friday. Looking for wedding rings for my fiance and me. We saw some good rings. Prices without any rebates were $950 for my finances ring (a jacket for her engagement ring) and $1,100 for my ring (these were the sticker prices). We worked with Steve and he did give us just $150 off my ring. So, $950 for hers and $950 for mine, total of $1,900. The worst customer service!!!!!!! Very upset I brought my ring for repair one small diamond fell off They said it would take 3 day and cost $75. So, I agreed to leave the ring with them. After 2 day I picked up my ring. They put it in box and gave it to me . When I open the box I figure out that ring was cleaned but was NOT fixed!!!!!!!

If you want to purchase something this place may be okay but do not go here for repairs or actual work on jewelry. I had my name in gold links from a bracelet that I wanted made into a necklace. We spoke at length to John about the best design. He said to come back Monday after 11. I came back Monday and it was not ready until after 6. I left. They called and said my necklace was ready! Two years ago, my now husband wanted to gift me a necklace. He strictly shopped at Rogers & Hollands for any and all jewelry he ever purchases. We came and were greeted by a really nice gentleman. He showed us all the necklaces that were available and helped us decide on which one to buy. The necklace is actually still being sold on their website and in some stores, just at a much, much lower price from what we had paid. I never had such an experience as I did at this Rogers and Holland's. Had my engagement ring and wedding ring in for repairs. It took a lot longer than I have experienced at the store at Golf Mill but unfortunately they had closed. Had a resest sapphire replaced on my wedding band and was supposed to get a new prong setting for diamond on engagement ring. They only melted some gold on the broken prong which I didn't notice right away. Very poor job. Also had them sadder the two rings together. Within 7 months the replaced sa... read more

I've been going to this jeweler since 2009 and 5 rings ago. My ring was always rhodium plated right in the store and pickup the next day. I find out now they will do it but the ring has to be sent out for that and could take 2-4 weeks. Now I'm reading reviews of peoples jewelry coming back messed up......Wow! This was not the policy when the ring was sold to me. So pretty much stuck....either send my ring out for 2-4 weeks and hope it returns or go to another jeweler and most likely voids the warranty. I purchased Rado watch 3 yrs ago. R&H are an authorized dealer of Rado. It stopped running & I took it back to R&H. I thought it needed a battery.they agreed to send it , somewhere to be checked out & replacement of battery. I was quoted approx $60.00 unless something else was found . I got a call couple couple was later by Robin & I was out of town. She said it needed new movements for $300.00 & not battery. I was shocked that 3 yrs later, & with not a lot of wear. My husband bought me a ring here in November as part of a Black Friday deal. One of the stones fell off in April. It took me awhile to take it in to get it fixed, so it got fixed earlier this month (July 2018). Husband picked it up on a Wednesday, less than 3 days later on Friday morning the same stone was missing. I have no idea where it is or when it fell off. It's like they didn't even fix it. I should have just tried to return the ring and get a refund. I do not recommend this store at all.
