Rumpke is the largest family owned business in Ohio. They are also the worst of customer service. Three weeks I've been waiting to have my Dan empties. Spoke to the first customer representative. No record of it. Talied to a second. And her supervisor. And her supervisor's supervisor. No one in the area even though 25 Rumpke trucks go by my place a day. The route supervisor doesn't have a name. I was referred to as a phone caller. Not a customer. Unreal. Three weeks of maggots.
Would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend Rumpke for any service or dumpster needs. Paid for a dumpster in full when getting it and then charged another $200 in additional fees when dumpster was picked up. When I called to inquire about my bill I was told the only way to settle on a price (which I shouldn't have any price as it was completely paid for) was to let my bill go to collections. An absolute joke of a company and customer service.
They missed my trash pick up on 4/19 and after calling them 5-6 times and being assured each time they would send someone out, it is still sitting by my curb on the evening of 4/23. I've spoken to multiple customer service representatives and a manager and they were still unable to pick up one single trash can. On a positive note, the customer service reps and manager were all very friendly.

Rumpke's word is about as valuable as the waste they remove. I have been a Rumpke customer for over 8 years within the same city. However, starting 2020-2021 the service has gone downhill incredibly fast. They are the most expensive waste service in my area, and they offer no recycling. They have missed more times in 2021 so far than they have missed in my entire 8 year journey with them. Just this week they missed my trash on Monday. I've been a Rumpke customer for about 15 years. I know it's probably a tough job, but my part of Orange Twp has been missed probably 5 times in the last 6 months. They say they'll do better, but it's missed yet again this past Friday. Disappointing service with poor follow up.
I live in a city that uses Rumpke for waste and recycling. Beware of making any type of direct payment for a service to Rumpke, I paid for an appliance pick up on a credit card. I sit the appliance out for pick up by the third party that Rumpke contracts with for this service. Before the third party company picked up the appliance a fix it person took the appliance. RUMPKE TRASH SERVICES: BEWARE I don't normally do this because it's always a good review but this was bad. We started our rumpke services on October 5th. They dropped the can off on Oct. 7th. They run on thursdays in my area so they were supposed to run on the 8th. They didn't. Okay, well maybe it takes some time, right? 4 weeks later, no trash pickup. TERRIBLE. We never had our trash actually picked up. We were constantly calling them the next day to have them come come pick it up. Then they busted a wheel on our brand new 90 dollar trash can, we called them to discuss it. They said multiple times that they would have someone call us back. Never did. We own a company so we would've gotten a voicemail or something. So we finally cancelled our membership. They kept charging us for 6 months and when I called they said they cancelled for nonpayment. My city contracted with Rumke and by the 5th week, Rumpke took everyones trash on my street but mine. I called the company and 3 times they told me that someone would pick up my trash. Day 4, it still hasnt been picked up. VERY poor way to run a business and very poor work ethics on the part of the workers. I will cancel my service if it happens again.
