My residential service and my commercial service were bought by Rumpke in the last month, or so... Commercial: three times in four weeks they did not pick up the trash. Residential: did not pick up service, called and they said the truck broke down and it would be picked the next day or the day after. It's 5:45PM of the day after and the trash was not picked up. I never once had an issue with either of the other two companies that Rumpke purchased, but with Rumpke, it seems to be the opposite.

Today a man came to my home and was taking my garbage can so I said "what are you doing" he said "you did not pay your bill" I answered I did pay my bill and do not take my can but he just took it anyway. So I contacted my band and got verification that I had paid the bill on 2/8 in full. I contacted Rumpke and they found out where I paid the bill but my payment was credited to another account so I said bring my garbage can back now. Bait and switch trash service. I just moved into a new home and called Rumpke to find out price and services. Was told large item pick-up was first of the month and that they can take sofas (wrapped) old toilets, etc. That works for me so I signed up. No way to notify them of large items pickup via their web page so you are forced to call and wait. When I finally reached someone they informed me that they only pickup 1 large item. 1! I have had to call every week for the last 2 months about missed trash pick up. I paid my bill but apparently my new job is informing them they aren't doing theirs. Have called local and corporate and nothing is getting done to correct the situation.
I would not recommend using this place, 3 weeks and still not picked up my recycling. The route supervisor sucks, if he was my employee i would've fired him. (Worthless) Definitely not doing his job. Only had this company for 3 months, switched to Best Way would recommend you do the same thing.
Where to start . They drop trash almost everyday . . When you go online it's will say big trash pick up , TV, couch, anything like that . But when you put it out they will not take it unless you give a 24 hr notice . Then when you do call they say it's one big trash pick up per week qnd $10 per item. Rumpke has not been out to pick up my trash in 5 weeks. I have called over and over and although they tell me they are going to come they never do. Terrible service would not recommen!
Refused to pick up my garbage because my in laws moved in with us while transitioning to their new home in Florida, because they recognized their (non Rumpke or city owned) trash cans from another address. Continued to fight with me about it as if I was making up the story. Said they would dispatch someone to come get the trash in 24-48 hours, but did not because the route supervisor took it upon himself to decide I was lying. Only giving one star because there is no zero option. Im being charged $200 because when we moved they claimed they couldn't pick up our old cans. This is a lie. My wife watched them pick them up. And now I've been waiting on a call back from management and they still haven't called. They are crooks!!
