Rumpke customer service is absolute trash (no pun intended) -- have been trying to get a dumpster removed from our residential driveway for the past 1-2 weeks and have spoken to at least 3 different individuals who have given us conflicting information regarding when it can be picked up. The customer service agents, managers, and dispatch officers I have spoken to have been been very rude, short, and unhelpful. Highly recommend seeking elsewhere for waste-related services.

Trash day is always so irritating! I completely understand that like everyone else that works they are exhausted and unstaffed BUT do your job. I have watched many times they will not get out. They use the side claw, trash bags fall out and then THEY RUN OVER THEM pulling away. After purchasing local refuse business in Springfield, Rumpke proceeds to gouge the customer base by upping the cost from $68 per quarter to $93.39, including a fuel surcharge of $15.39 and $9.00 for the trash can. SUPPORT LOCAL - CJ Refuse and Hauling (in Springfield) offers a much better price (a 30% savings) of $65.00 per quarter. Rumpke is giving us a perfect example of the old saying: You can shear a sheep many times but you can only skin it once.
we have a dumpster where i work and we received this in 2020. we no longer in need of the dumpster due to change in our business. we called them 3 days ago to have it picked up and they told us someone would call us back. they did not call, so we called them again. they are now telling us that they cannot take the dumpster due to the contract auto renews every three years. they failed to tell us this when getting dumpster. now we are stuck with this huge dumpster and and no trash to put in it. do not ever get services from r... read more
Every time I call Rumpke for THEIR mistakes, the customer service person(s) act like they ate frosted shit-flakes for breakfast and act like I'm stupid. I hate that we have rumpke service in our area. At least they could say sorry for their service problems, but nope- not from them.
they drop your trash can across your driveway and leave trash all over the front of your property and this has been 3 weeks in a row they have done it
my bill is paid in full two weeks in a row. They have skipped picking up my garbage I called them and they say it was just a minor discrepancy. They will be here next week trashiest trash company ever.
Just had the WORST customer service experience from Rumpke Trash & Recycling who has missed our recycling pickups for a month now. Called last Friday, said they would be here for it by Tuesday, woke up to it still sitting here. They said "let me take a look at your account" and then "oh yeah, I don't see anything you're doing wrong." What?! I'm the customer! I was not rude, but I was honest about being frustrated. I've spent over two months, with nearly daily phone calls and emails trying to get (that took a month) a recycling bin. Then calls and emails every week to get it emptied....which only happened twice in four weeks and only after multiple calls and emails. I've now spent hours and over a week of daily emails and calls trying to get it removed. Promises of follow up were and are ignored. Beyond ridiculous.
