SJBH provided great treatment and support. Staffs are busy but they are very professional, caring and supportive. They are doing a noble work of saving patients to the maximum level they could possibly do. Dr. Nashin, Dr. Toral, Navi, Jennifer, Diana, Mari, Vanessa, Alex, Galvin, Christine, ward staff and receptionists are all great and top-notch in providing their treatments and service. Sequoia unit was the best thanks to Dr. Desai and Rosa the social worker. They even payed for an uber ride back to Fresno. Only thing Is the nurses threw food on me and left me asleep instead of waking me up to eat fresh food. I couldn't leave my room since I couldn't have my cane and didn't give me a wheel chair.

First of all the confusing part is the hospital located at this address and matching these photos is actually called Silicon Valley Behavioral Health not San Jose Behavioral Health. This causes a great deal of confusion in trying to interact with them from outside. It is difficult to make contact with a verified phone number when you're not confirmed which phone number will reach the address. Now for the positive review. This place is good for an acute treatment for issues faced. They gave decent care and I really enjoyed talking with the staff. They were super helpful. The type of care is pretty good, but it can definitely be a hit or miss. It isn't too bad when it's needed. Shoutout to all of the staff, thank you for the help :) The Redwood unit is definitely nit the WORST place in the world

I had a pretty good experience there *ultimately*. Last summer I had the worst mental health crisis of my life. I've had a serious dx since 1983 but had not needed to be hospitalized since 2003. When I got 5150's last July, I was in the co-ed Tahoe unit for 10 days. And that was pretty hellish. Both because of the severity of my condition at the time but also because of the oftimes chaotic 'Bedlam' nature of the ward. My daughter was taken to San Jose behavioral health due to a suicide attemp on april 2025. the social worker L was so great and helpful! She kept me informed every step of the way. She was very sweet and professional and great at her job! Want to thank her for helping get through a difficult time.

San Jose Behavioral Health Hospital is a great facility. The staff are all very professional. They host thoughtful group activities for the patients. The facilities are clean, and the food is yummy.

I went to San Jose Behavioral Health expecting the worst, isolated, and depression. I was 5150 and I never thought I would have such a good time there, I bonded with so many teens and they all knew what it was like to be in my situation. I actually cried when I left cause it felt like a second home I just got out today and the nurses care was also great. the workers were like friends and made the whole experience way better. Friendly staff ! They took care of my loved one pretty good ! Amazing staff. I'm super grateful for all of them for taking care of him ! Although he was there for a little bit I really appreciate everyone kindness ! They gave him the type of care he needed especially with bipolar depression. Mental health is so important but this staff here amazing REAL SUPER HEROs work here !
