Public storage is notorious for discriminating against existing customers. They offer low rates to entice new customers. Then they raise your rate every 3 to 6 months. The rate gets so high that its double the price they charge for the same unit to a new customer. It forces you to leave. Seems like theyd rather have an empty unit instead of keeping a good customer long-term at a decent stable rate.

I rented a unit at Public Storage two years ago, and the price has doubled. If you go on line, they say you can rent a unit the same size as mine for much less. I would not recommend this business, and I will be getting everything out of storage asap. I consider this price gouging.

The facility is clean but it's difficult to get access into the building and then to get to your floor within the facility. The biggest problem is that they increase the rent $50 every six months at least. I started at $162 a year ago and it is now $264. Nothing worth this type of increase repeatedly.

Please do not do business with Public Storage due to their horrible business practices of applying enormous late fees and lien fees on your account. They increase monthly storage payments when they have their $1.00 new customer move ins and then charge current customers an increase to make up the difference. The facility is mice infested and can cause the renter air borne hanta virus illnesses due to mice droppings, urine and chewing saliva on your items. Don't fall for their online specials. I rented a unit for $140.00 a month. After three payments they raised the rent to $210 a month. They said " that is what similar units go for." I went to there website and they were still advertising the same size unit for $149.00. This leads me to believe this is a classic "bait and switch" scheme. Buyer beware.

I wish I could leave less than 1 star. I have had so many issues out of the public storage container service and while company. They double charged me for my December rent (I moved out early in December). After talking to an agent through the chat who told me they could not refund one of the charges cause I used a card and I needed to call my bank. Was told second month was free. Teller messed up account and had to transfer from wrong unit they entered to the correct unit; which in turn voided the second month free promo which was never mentioned to me. They then setup autopay without my knowledge and tried to charge me for the both units. There customer service was horrible to work with and tried to make it out like it was my fault.

No problem with the unit I rented or condition of the property.SIGNED UP ONLINE FOR A 10X10 FOR ***** PER MONTH IN DECEMBER 24.On March 31 2025 was informed that the rent in May jumps to *****. No questions allowed.I pay my rent early and keep a neat unit.DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND BEING RIPPED OFF. I AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PLACE THAT WILL GIVE ME A CONTRACT AND TREAT ME FAIRLY.

I would warn future customers from renting a unit at the *********** location. Several patrons are leaving this facility for other storage facilities that do not play games on their patrons. It has been less than a year and there have been two outrageous upcharges of $100 each.
