So I live in ******** but I have two storage units at this facility in *****, that I have had for several years. They called me about a month ago telling me that the unit next to mine had water damage and wanted to know if they could cut my lock to see if my storage unit had any damage. Been using this company for a little over a year now and the rates keep going up. I started off paying $100 a year ago, now its $230 starting this month. The building smelled like a died animal for months and many spiders throughout the building. They close earlier than the other public storages in the area. I was told that customers are not allowed to use the trash, although I have seen many people use it. There is rarely anyone on site to assist with things, which is why I always see people using the trash, I assume.

Started out at $68 and then $162 and then they were charging $261 all within a few months.Why haven't they been investigated yet or have a reliable way to contact them directly? Additionally, why does ****** show them with a rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars..........

I managed storage facilities for 5 years. Thankfully, none of them were Public Storage. As a matter of fact, I would never work at one. Their treatment of customers is beyond horrendous. As a customer I can make that statement. If you're looking for a storage facility, make sure it's not them. Corporate gouging is an understatement in reference to them. Not only did they go up on my storage unit rate within months of moving in, but when contacting their customer service, the agent literally stopped speaking to me and hung up. I did not ever raise my voice, I did not use inappropriate language. She kept saying she could file for a rate decrease, but as a confuse customer, all I am asking for is for them to honor the rate bound to the contract. After thorough research and comparison, I rented a climate controlled storage unit for my late mothers belongings. I had to hire a moving company to bring the items from her home that was being sold to this facility. After 6 months I was hit with a price increase bringing the monthly rent from 119 to 154 per month. I called to ask if there was something that could be done and was told it could be reduced for 3 months and then it would be raised to the new rate. public storage are some of the worst people ive ever dealt with. long story short i had to use the to store my late fathers items in a different state miles away NEVER TRUST THEM. they jack ur rent up and threaten your items if your even a day late ( sometimes things happen). i just wish you could maybe pay at the end of the month or something and make it easier. in the beginning i was paying what $50?? now im paying almost $400 just to keep my dads things. cant ever get thru to ANYONE at corporate or the office and will onl... read more

After renting 3 months they hiked my rent by 50%. I called corporate and they told me they rent month to month and the "contract" i had was subject to change with 30 days notice. . .something they don't tell you upfront when you call to book. So I'm moving out ********* gives you a year same price
