My honest review! I sent my daughter here for substance abuse. I was misinformed about multiple things. I was told you can call at any time to speak to them & you can't They get to call at night briefly if a phones free. I was also told I can take her out of their care anytime if I wanted to & That's false.If you remove your child early they will call child services. I was also misled on the food options. My daughter said it was freezing and you only get a thin blanket. They did not do enough one on one therapy All in all , ... read more

It was traumatic. Worst medical experience of my life which is saying a lot because I've had to take medication over 30 years. This was 2017. I never saw a therapist. They wouldn't tell my family where I was. When I woke up, no one explained to me where I was or what was happening because I was brought by ambulance and heavily sedated. I never saw a psychiatrist one on one. They didn't tell me how to get hot water in the shower. There was a group therapy session that was absolutely pointless. My daughter was sent to 7Hills because we have out of state insurance. Hospital said to pack 3-5 days of clothes for my daughter-I did. Brought it in a suitcase, was told by front desk that everything was going to be logged in so they could keep track of her belongings. After discharge and opening up her suitcase- all of her clothes I packed were gone. Called the hospital-no one can find her clothes- even socks,underwear and bra gone. As a former employee, I highly don't recommend working here. The pay is low for the work you're doing, the hours are long and there are extremely rude staff and workers. Management doesn't care about their employees and will constantly write you up even for the smallest issues. Many of the nurses absolutely hated their jobs, and did not want to be there. My teenage daughter who has suffered due to recent trauma depression was admitted to the facility. At first we felt that this is what she needed as we tried everything from therapy to out patient so we followed the advise of the facility. However 5 days in we were informed that our daughter was being admitted to the er to ensure that she did not have a concussion as she was attacked by another patient. They try to keep you locked up even going through court process. No blankets sheets or pillows.
Terrible Rude and incompetent staff. My case worker was ill informed regarding my insurance and told me I was only eligible for homeless shelters. I have a home. I need treatment. I told her go recheck my insurance then she said ohhhh you're right (I have blue cross blue shield)... she also talked to me once the whole eight days I was there. On Friday she said I couldn't enter Desert Hope because they "don't take people on weekends" which was BS. They're a substance abuse facility. She didn't want to put the extra work in. D... read more
Do not take your loved ones here! They treat them like animals, and the front desk staff is very rude. They give your family members medication they don't even know for what. They can't provided a diagnosis because there is no doctor that can run test. Please, think about it and try somewhere else.
Perhaps the worst care for addicts I have ever experienced. As a family member I can say their communication and care is basically non existent! If you get case worker Alex good luck ever communicating with him. The guy should be fired, but if he isn't ask for a new case worker asap. Even the staff complained about him to me.
