Get directionsI was in the ED program for 10 days in 2006. I left AMA because of how terrible the staff was. I did not feel safe or cared for and at times felt downright disrespected. - The former ED director, Dr. Carolyn Coker Ross, was TERRIBLE. She'd set up meeting times in her office and I'd wait outside the door for her for sometimes up to 45 minutes before giving up and heading back to my room/building. Then she'd call the staff in the building, upset that I wasn't there! When she did actually meet with me, she took personal calls ... read more
If you might have a personality disorder or sexual compulsivity or addiction, don't waste any time here.
Sierra Tucson was recommended because of their holistic approach and their abundance of alternative healing methods. I was assured repeatedly that my physical would be addressed through Acupuncture, different massage modalities and on going physical therapy. However upon meeting a doctor named Lerner who ran the pain clinic he proceeded to negate just about everything their admission people had said. If I had done more research I would have uncovered all the long standing AG complaints. The civil suits, including malpractic... read more
This Treatment Facility is HORRIBLE. Terrible experience from the time I arrived all the way from Alaska until I could leave. Dealing with the initial experience with the business office in signing the paper work where I was treated disrespectfully all the way through the intake process. I was mistreated and not offered any food or water. I was not allowed access to a phone. Horrible overall experience. Basic patient rights violated. I would not recommend to anyone.
This place may be ok for pure addicts, but where mental health issues go, specifically personality disorders, stay away! The director denies the existence of personality disorders, seeking to pin everything on childhood trauma. My ex wife went there for alcoholism and metal health issues. They enabled her with psychobabble that lead her to blame all of her problems on her mother and me. Her mother and I did extensive research of qualified sources, both in written and person form. Many qualified therapists will verify th... read more
The place is highly rated but once they get your money, you can't get anyone to return a phone call. The admissions people are great but the rest of the staff is horrible. It is so frustrating to leave messages and not get returned phone calls. Here are some of my issues: 1- Trying to get a refund is taking over 4 weeks. Still waiting for my 36k. 2- My sister had to leave and go to a hospital. Her clothes did not go with her. I called to get her clothes sent and I won't mention names but she said she would mail them to h... read more
When I attended Sierra Tucson, I was severely depressed. I was there for 6 weeks and it was the worst six weeks of my life. I was charged for appointments I didn't have, was promised refunds, had terrible counseling where I was put in a group with a stalker when I had been stalked. I was harassed and threatened by staff, and after reporting the incident was treated cruelly. The administration lied about their ability to create an unthreatening environment. I felt like I was treated like a terrible child who deserved punish... read more
Do not waste your money if you need psychological help for anxiety or depression. This place truly, in my mind, is for substance abuse. Not good for helping through medication therapy. Menninger would be better for that. They totally missed a very obvious diagnosis with my husband and he left no better than when he went in. They admitted him, when, in my opinion, they should make people aware they are better equipped to handle addictions. Had I known this I would have chosen Mennigner. I feel we wasted over $50k and ... read more
So, I am back reviewing yet again. Why? Because I have been waiting for a month for two refunds from this group. My insurance company paid about $2000 on Nov 16 and I can't get it refunded to me, plus they promised me a refund of $1400. This group is very difficult to deal with.
