Get directionsI would have given you 5 stars in 1992. Years ago at age 19 (29 years ago), I went to Sierra Tucson to get help for Anorexia and other issues. They helped me with early life trauma and really got my life back on track. They literally saved my life. It was a very loving and supportive environment and I am very proud to be an Alumni. If you are looking for something different than critical care, call them. They were the last treatment center I ever needed for Anorexia. I went into the field of psychotherapy myself and have had... read more

No star rating from me. I went for complex PTSD, depression and anxiety. I was kept in the locked down area for an extra day. There were physical and verbal assaults happening to several of the females in the community. Most of the assaults while I was there were done by ONE male. At least 12 people had filed reports against this male but he was kept in the community rather than being sent back to the locked down area. Other people had been transferred back to lock down for less. I felt so unsafe that I slept with a chair ag... read more
I've suffered with Depression Trauma for years. I was so hopeful this place could help. I was so very wrong, it in fact made me worse. The place is beautiful but it is poorly run. The doctors are hard to see & staff afraid to talk to doctors or management. 1st they took me off all meds & caused me to nearly have a stroke. The meds given were OFTEN not put in the computer but staff wouldn't ask, wouldn't let me ask to fix. I ended up being traumatized by this place. It wasn't just me, nearly all patients seemed to have the ... read more
criminal. my daughter gained an uncontrollable twitch from trauma at siera tucson, and when they could not address her issues, they locked her in the copper section isolating her from the community and asked her to leave. she has now entered another facility elsewhere and is hoping to find a cure for the errors brought forth by the inadequate 5 week treatment at sierra tucson - a very costly and ultimately further damaging experience.
Fuck this place. Supposed to be a rehabilitation. I have ptsd from going there. You're supposed to be off drugs and alcohol but I was fed Valium and other drugs. Also- they have a literal open door policy where they can entered your room that you share with one other person and while your on "drugs" you're unaware of who it could be. I am now suffering like I said from ptsd bc I had servers encounters from men entering my room. If anything I only became worse

I just spent the holiday season at Sierra Tucson (2021-22). I was there 10 years ago, and it has changed 360 degrees. Instead of being privately owned, it is owned by wealthy Acadia Healthcare, whose number one priority is their profit. Accommodations, food, treatment, staff, are all insufficient for the huge price tag. Errors in scheduling, lack of aftercare, general housekeeping issues are a few of the many reasons you should think long and hard before wasting your money on this place.
I found my way to Sierra Tucson after a severe suicide attempt. There were no available facilities near me and the thought of being in the sunshine during a cold winter was appealing. I flew from NY to AZ for their care. This is NOT the family run business that it formerly was. It is a large conglomerate owned business and is run as such. They will ALWAYS get payment first and will not do anything until they see the money. It was previously an all inclusive program, which had the added services of body work, chiropractic ... read more

I had a terrible experience-- detailed to management months ago. I also had thousands of dollars of items stolen. Sierra Tucson has adolescents for 30 days to review twice, over 100 days ago.

What a terribly run facility I would give it minus 10 ! Left 2 days ago . Self admitted for anxiety. Put in addiction / trauma program. Therapist late to groups or no shows . Appointments with Dr.'s late or cancelled. Needs & wants never addressed , process group spent with everyone airing their grievances about the place . Lodges old dirty not cleaned properly. Grounds are depressing , outdoor areas furniture falling apart. Currently Covid outbreak . I could go on and on . I wish I would have trusted all the other terrible ... read more
