Get directionsDO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE CHOOSING SIER Sending my husband here was literally the worst 30 days of our lives. I couldn't begin to explain the level of gross negligence on the part of Sierra Tucson and the entire staff. I will begin by saying we did not know that Sierra had been purchased by Acadia Health Care and is no longer the wonderful treatment center it once was. My husband sat through two "speaker meetings " a week at a cost of 1k to us only to learn that they were actually Drug Reps encouraging patients to take the dr... read more

This place is disgraceful and unorganized. My daughters medications that were taken at admission have YET to be sent home and she has tried calling 5 days in a row to get this sorted out to no avail. Scheduling forgot to put multiple appts on her schedule, such as somatic experiencing. She was here for secondary pain and only saw the pain doctor once on her final week. Her therapist had a flat affect and did not know how to provide therapy. Multiple people had complained about her already and switched out of her groups. My d... read more

I accompanied a family member who was diagnosed with depression and anxiety to Sierra Tucson in 2018. I was point of contact for updates and monitoring of the therapy. The day I dropped my relative off, the first point of contact was a business manager (accountant) who collected information for billing...necessary but hardly a caring welcome. They took my relative somewhere else and never said a word to me or provided input before I left to travel home in another state. Over time, It became obvious that my relative was be... read more
Do not come here. I have been here twice. There are currently multiple lawsuits here including malpractice, medical neglect, the list goes on. The "doctors" are not even licensed. A man had a stroke during my most recent stay, and they refused to send him to the hospital. There were 6 patient deaths in one year, the only thing they care about is money, and the only staff that actually cares about you don't have jurisdiction to help. My therapist made two mysognistic comments to me, I have been refused medication that I have ... read more
AVOID SIERRA TUCSON LIKE THE PLAGUE! Went to a very expensive week long therapy for eating disorders at Sierra Tucson. One of the worst experiences of my life. I was also in sexual recovery and very sensitive to how people dress in a sexually provocative way. So I made certain to read their literature in advance which specified that there was a conservative dress code in respect for people like me. But when I arrived even the head counselor was dressed in short shorts and tube top! I was shocked and said something to the he... read more
had to put our son into Sierra for anxiety and mood disorder. They have a farce they call family week which we attended. It is billed as family therapy to help both the patient and the family better understand the circumstances regarding the patient which it is not. They start by trying to get you to consistently use 'CORE FEELINGS'. Do not be fooled they do this so they can control conversations. We found the grounds beautiful and spa like however when it comes to being honest as to the underlying cause as to why the patien... read more
Management at Sierra Tucson run a dangerous program. What they dont tell you about are all the suicides at Sierra Tucson. I was beat up twice at Sierra Tucson - all in my first week. The first time I was beat up was during my admittance process. Sierra Tucson promised to pay for my toiletries that my attacker destroyed and reneged. Sierra Tucson is a dangerous place, my hearing will never be the same from getting beat up and Sierra Tucson did not care. This is the absolute truth - do not trust them
A disturbingly backwards "treatment" facility. Didn't seem to help my family member and caused a lot of pain and stress in the process (and cost 60,000$). First of they don't actually offer many of the services they claim too. Nothing is individualized, once you get there you'll find that it's pretty cookie cutter for everyone. Once the patient was in treatment they encouraged her to stay for longer than originally planned. They then recommended she go to step down facility that just wasn't right for her, seemingly only... read more
FORGET about it! I was on more drugs there than I have ever been. Wrongly diagnosed by incompetent "Dr". The nursing staff is horrendous! Save your money and go to Creative Care in southern Calif where they really do care and know how to treat professionally!
