Get directionsI went to Sierra Tuscon treatment center last year. It saved my life. Was it perfect, I don't think any place can be perfect for all people. In the beginning I was very rude to most staff, I had meltdowns many times, but I felt safe. I got the right medication I need at this time in my life. Everyone was very pleasant and nice, I might not have seen it at the time. I was unhappy about a lot of things but I can see now how much I needed to go through my emotions and self pity to start to heal. I learned to self advocate. I ca... read more
Sierra Tucson changed my life. The month that I spent there helped me learn so much about mental health as well as many different coping skills. The staff are very knowledgeable and know what they are taking about. I felt the treatment was individualized for each patient depending on their needs. The scenery is beautiful, the food was great and there were so many different treatment types and modalities offered. 10/10 would go back.

My daughter was at Sierra Tucson for challenges related to childhood trauma. As with all places, over the time that she was there, there were ups and downs. However, through it all, the staff were incredibly caring, open to input and highly professional! The range of possible therapies is extensive, with qualified therapists. The availability of residential therapists at any time of the day and weekends was a HUGE plus!! My daughter developed meaningful support relationships that were equally important to her ongoing pro... read more

Sad to see such low ratings, but not uncommon for a rehab to be rated low, not everyone is gonna get it, not everyone is going to make it.. Sierra Tucson played a vital roll in my shift from a drug addicted and emotionally damaged person into a functional loviNg and caring individual. There were some humps in the road along the way but ST gave me the resources to recover. Namely doctor Moyer. She was an amazing influence on my life and provided me with the gift of compassIon. I cannot say enough good things about her, I'd... read more

Sierra Tucson is one of the few programs in the country that is willing to treat very complex mental health disorders in a dignified residential campus. (Instead of a psych unit or hospital based environment) Some of the disorders treated include personality disorders. The people who take the time to write these dramatic negative reviews were most likely not ready to get well-parents and the family systems included. The state with it's stringent protocols would not have just granted Sierra Tucson clearance to build and open ... read more
If you go in with the mentality that any program only works as well as you work it and that no program is perfect, then it gets 4 stars. I went in hell-bent on ending my life and came out without any suicidal thoughts anymore. It's a super bougie place and is definitely expensive but they will scholarship if needed. I'm grateful for ST, but would definitely suggest changes in how they handle conflict within the milieu.
A sign on the entrance to Sierra Tucson says "Expect a Miracle" and it was a miracle for me. The staff is absolutely great and really helpful, the 30 days in what seemed like a 5-star spa (massage, yoga, great dining) was a treat and best of all, I enjoyed the other people there getting treatment. There were 120 men and women, all ages, and it was interesting and inspiring to hear their stories. In fact, I would love to go back to Sierra Tucson but I don't think they'd take me because I've been alcohol free for more than a ... read more
I really don't know where to start I genuinely love Sierra Tucson. I needed help and didn't know where to turn. A very close family friend did the research and came up with Sierra Tucson as the best place to go to. I was so scared and uncomfortable going to rehab and being in such a vulnerable position. From the moment I was met by their people in the airport until I was checked in I was treated with such love and care. I detoxed in their detox the staff was so courteous supportive and caring. Every single detail from my die... read more
Mixed Feelings: I just found out when I went for family week that my husband has been very happy with his stay at ST. He has felt like it has been superior to his prior hospitalizations in that it felt more like a resort than a hospital, and he felt very supported and cared for every step of the way. He's really had a wonderful experience. Time will tell if he can continue what he has learned after he leaves, which is of course the ultimate goal. As a family member, I experienced a different reality. I wasn't notified of how... read more
