Get directionsI am writing this review to inform others who are considering this facility for treatment. I wish I had listened to the negative reviews before coming here. This place is a complete scam. I went here with a promise of being cared for for PTSD and was further traumatized by this experience. The admissions counselors will try to sell you on what this place claims to be but the admissions counselors are not actually on site and don't know much about the current programming. For most of the staff, this is their first psych j... read more
developed an eye twitch during my stay due to anxiety-provoking staff.. left mid july and it's still going on. when i first arrived i wanted to step outside before admission to make a (final) phone call and a 400 pound woman was chasing me around as if i was trying to escape. while i was having a panic attack the staff told me to be quiet because it was "interrupting the serenity of the lodge." one of the staff members, Stephanie, told me she was willing to lose her job to beat my ass. another staff member whose name i am bl... read more
very disappointing over drugged, over charged and stolen items to name a few. Made it hard for some great staff members to help
Please read the other reviews as well. This place is not a luxury rehab like it is marketed as. What they don't tell you is before you go to the actual rehab they lock you in what's called "copper sky" or "copper jail" as everyone else calls it. You'll walk around like a Zombie there with inattentive staff members who you can tell are just there for a check. Once you get to the actual rehab campus it is nothing but boring groups with inexperienced counselors, high school drama between full grown adults, and an ankle bracelet... read more
Do NOT trust this place. Their website still talks about their chronic pain program but their pain director left months ago. They're still accepting pain patients despite not having the right people to care for them. There have been several times where the center has either lied or been wrong about information between what admissions has told us and what actually took place when my sister was accepted into their pain program, some of which has ended up costing our family hundreds and thousands of extra dollars that we were n... read more
I don't like to write online reviews, but my wife's experience at Sierra Tucson was abysmal. She was admitted this summer to get treatment for trauma. Among other things, she encountered the following problems: 1. Despite the fact that she was there for trauma treatment, she never saw a trauma specialist as she had been promised. 2. When someone is admitted, they are supposed to spend 24-48 hours in a welcome building before being moved into regular campus housing. Without explanation, my wife was kept there for four days.... read more
Awful place. We brought our son to Sierra Tucson for depression, anxiety and anger issues. He was there for a month and we got two calls asking for more money in addition to the $65,000 we had already paid they wanted more money so he could have a massage. Three days before he was set to come home after calling and leaving messages and emailing and not getting a response trying to figure out the day he was coming home so I could coordinate flights. I got a call saying that he should stay a few more weeks and that it would co... read more
If you are a licensed professional, do not go here. If you disagree with your primary therapist's or psychiatrist's assessment of who you are, and decide to seek treatment in your own state, they will vindictively call your licensing board. I am a licensed psychologist who was treated by a 'therapist' by someone who a) forgot the relationship is the most important part of treatment, b) threatened me and called me names, c) didn't listen to me, the patient there for trauma, and d) when I said I was leaving (a week longer than... read more
We could not be more disappointed in our daughter's treatment at Sierra Tucson in the spring of 2023. A little history, my wife (a licensed therapist) was a client at Sierra Tucson in the early 2000's and gave it glowing reviews as one of the best in the country which was a widely held view (and still erroneously is.) Our daughter went through the program earlier this year and after hearing about her experience there, (as well as other people in our community who have gone there in the past few years) it is painfully obv... read more
