I spent 30 days at Sierra Tucson. It was in 1989. So I really don't know what it is like today. However, the program changed my life. The most important thing is that it changed my attitude toward me. There were several who left while I was there without completing the program. It is a hard program. It is hard to change the way you see yourself and how you view the world. It is well worth the work and discomfort involved. I loved it and hated it. I am to this day overwhelming grateful for being screwed up enough t... read more

Amazing place for anyone who is looking to get any type of help! They were great with me when I went there in July 2015. I was diagnosed with a mood disorder which was my main reason of drinking. The staff is great, the food is really good, the rooms are exceptionally clean. I may say that the place is like a resort except that there is staff 24/7 and people that work there truly care for your wellbeing. There is alsp massages and accupuncture as well as yoga and arts available - all for therapeudic recovery of course. I've ... read more

I just left Sierra Tuscan and would have to say their program gave me the skills to stay alive and choose not to use drugs to get through life. I found the staff to be top notch, they knew their stuff and were there to help me in my thirty day journey. I got the most out of it because I came prepared to do the hard work and was willing to do whatever they said. My best addict thinking got me there, so I was ready to listen and do what was necessary. The Native American spirituality resonated with me and helped me develop my ... read more

ST Saved My LIFE 10 years ago. Never would have guessed there was such a place and there is not a day, in these past 10 years, where I do not think of my beloved Sierra Tucson. GOD BLESS THE PEOPLE AND THE PATIENTS. It is the staff that makes the place work and keeps the structure, and it is the patients who help you realize the value and the worth of your life and if you are open to the help, you will become the best person you NEVER thought you could be - but YOU ARE THAT MIRACLE!!!!! GOD BLESS ST AND EVERYONE WHO HAS SU... read more

Our son suffered from depression, an anxiety disorder, PTSD and was drinking heavily to ease his pain. His behavior affected the whole family. Basically our family was dysfunctional because our lives were centered around our son's uncontrollable behavior. It came to an ultimatum, "get help or get out." Fortunately, he chose to get help and his psychiatrist recommended Sierra Tucson. It was a tremendous financial burden for us, but no parent can put a price on saving the life of a child. Our son went to Sierra Tucson under ... read more

Every rehab has it's up and downs, but if you do your research you will find that ST is one of the best hands down. This is why people come from all over the world to get treatment. My experience was life changing and one I will never forget. There were pros and cons. Some things that I didn't agree with, but overall it provided valuable information, treatment and life skills. It changed my life and those around me.

I attended for post partum depression. While the food did leave something to be desired & the night staff seemed sparse, overall it was exactly what I needed to overcome my depression. I saw a few patients behaving like spoiled brats, trying to avoid recovery by distracting themselves with gossip or flirting. But I got out of it what I put in it- I did the work, tried all the alternative therapies-equine-assisted therapy, EMDR, Qigong, Reiki, Shiatsu massage, & others and they all helped me in a way I honestly did not thi... read more

I went to Sierra Tucson in February 2006 for the treatment of alcoholism and spent 30 days learning about my disease. Sierra Tucson stressed keeping an open mind and treating the "whole person". For anyone who thinks Sierra Tucson is a country club - you are dead wrong. My days began at 5am and I wasn't through and in my room until after 9pm every night. Then there was homework. But I learned to hang with the winners at Sierra Tucson and that I would get as much out of my recovery as I was willing to put into it. S... read more
