No. A lot of cheap materials being used that shouldn't be used on different parts of the home and once you close on your home you are forgotten when having issues.
My wife and I are very pleased with our home so far! Our construction manager, Travis and his team(s) did a phenomenal job with our home and we enjoyed every interaction with him.

We closed on our new Smith Douglas home in Capstone Estates in July 2026, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. Amanda Cox and the team were responsive throughout, and the warranty process has been straightforward. Would recommend to anyone building new in the Chattanooga area.

They are easy to work with as long as we are given the right person. We had issues with the financial person at first so we backed out of that since they were not clear about the numbers then our sales rep could have been more thorough.
The rooms upstairs are way too hot for a $380,000 house. The front door deadbolt doesn't work, and the door handles have come loose on every single door in the house. For the most part, the house looks and feels great. However, there are already some cracks in the concrete, the sod was laid fairly poorly, and the drainage is not so great.
My agent was very knowledgeable, he communicated very well
I would most likely recommend this builder however there would be things that I would share with a potential buyer to check for that. I learned through experience with Smith Douglas.
