From the design with Jen to the pre drywall meetings and final walk through with Tiffani to moving in and living there, everyone from Smith Douglas has been great and transparent! There were delays but throughout everything, the team has kept customer service at the forefront.
This is tough for me to answer. On the one hand, the home was completed on time and budget. On the other hand, the build quality left something to be desired, and the post closing punchlist seemed to drag on and on. Whether I would recommend SD or not would depend on what priorities the individual had and it would come with a heavy dose of setting expectations.
Exceptional sales service, and the building manager, Tiffany, was extremely knowledgeable about construction—especially helpful for us as new homeowners.

Jay and Raquel have been absolutely wonderful throughout this process. They were consistently helpful, patient, and responsive, always taking the time to answer our many questions and walk us through the construction progress. They welcomed our visits, addressed updates and concerns thoughtfully, and did it all with a positive attitude and a smile. We are truly grateful for their support and professionalism.
We have been in our Smith Douglas home for about a month. I wanted to give it a full month before offering a review of the company, the home, the process, and how they fixed any issues we discovered. When we built out last home which was in Minnesota it turned out to be an awful experience. The builder didn't stand behind their work and got less responsive as time went on (despite major issues). We love our home and Emily Street was amazing to us.
It was difficult to get documents from them. There are some things like the paint cracking, and I am seeing little holes in the paint, and a line in the ceiling beam.
We are in love with our new home, everything we chose to put into our home has exceeded our expectations!
