I would rather heat my house with candles, and hire a hamster to run on a treadmill to generate electricity than to have to deal with this company. They single-handedly delayed the sale of a client’s home by 25 days because they insisted that the client has a document that, according to our attorney, Spruce was supposed to produce. While we did ALL of the work sorting out Spruce’s paperwork FOR them, Spruce managed to set records for condescension, arrogance and ignoring their customers. The absolute WORST. Stay Away!
Fraud of a company..AVOID THEM!!! Billing is a complete mess. Statement will say one amount, but you call to make a payment and are asked to pay a higher amount. They always say I owe months of bills when every month I have paid. The portal shows I have been billed one amount, not the same as the paper statement. I have always been asked to pay more. Worst company ever. Major breaches of my solar contract, I can’t get anyone in customer service to help me, and that’s when I call multiple times and hold for 20-50 minutes. Spruce power aka Kilowatt Financial, Energy Service Experts…I think they change their name to avoid scrutiny. The online monitoring is completely wrong. Spruce Finance and it's affiliates ("Spruce Power 1, LLC) are a terrible company. They acquired my solar power system from another company and they have not assisted with connecting my system to the grid for 2 years, but they are very good about constantly sending me bills for a system I don't even know works. RUN if you see them.
Horrible from the start and just keeps going through billing and customer service
They have the absolute worst customer service. they have NEVER returned a phone call and have NEVER gotten on the phone with me. Their billing is completely messed up and they keep using Covid as an excuse not to help. If you have a choice don't use them but I had no choice because unfortunately for me they bought our existing solar supplier and now I am forced to deal with sheer incompetence. If you can avoid them then do so at any cost.

I would give this company zero stars. I’m repeating most of the other customer’s complaints. I have had billing issues since *** stopped directly billing me monthly. I have spent hours on the phone and sending emails and my billing issues have not been resolved. I’m being charged late fees and my account is current. Since Spruce Power took over my solar lease contract, they have continuously submitted bills showing my account with late or missing payments despite me having been enrolled in Autopay since the beginning and never missing a payment. They will not provide a phone number to contact their company and do not respond to emails.
