Spruce Power has taken advantage of me as a customer by billing me multiple times, at different amounts, within the same month. I prepaid for 4 months yet they continued to bill me each consecutive month. Their customer service is awful. It's literally impossible to get anyone on the phone and their email responses are vague and hard to understand. They customer service reps reassure me that I have credits on my account but their system CONTINUES to bill me every month.
They are very disorganized and try to pay my bill on 12/28/21 and wait on the phone for 1 hr and 52 min to be told they are an outside call center and to wait 48 to 72 hours for a call back from one of the representatives name Shaunn to make a payment. I did get a call the next day and notice from my caller ID it was them so I answer quickly and said hello a few times but they just hung up. I have read several of the reviews and I am in agreement with the reviews Spruce Power is awful, I have emailed and called several times for the past several months. My bank says that Spruce Power is getting my money but Spruce Power says that I have not paid. I have sent in proof of my payments and I still have an incorrect bill. When I call I get routed to a call service and that I would get a response in 72 hours. However, that has never happened. I am at a loss as to what to do now. Joan S.
well here i am again 12-28-2021 on hold for over an hour to try to pay my bill over the phone. i would love to pay online and avoid the phone call payment torture, however since this company bought out my last company, the online billing is a mess. according the website I'm 3 months behind and when i call to have this corrected they say unfortunately they cannot make changes to the online billing and they are trying to work out issues with the company's merger. i have been hearing this since the company's merged over a year ... read more
DO NOT sign up with this company. Sold my home and transferred to new owner over 5 months ago and am still receiving bills. Last week they went into my bank account and took $195 from me. I call every day and never get a call back. I had to pay $30 to my bank to stop any further payments. They promise to return calls and never do. How are they in business and why hasn’t anyone intervened? Isn’t there a company we can call to help us? BBB will accept complaint but it is not actionable through them.
Spruce Power is the worst company for customer service. I just waited on hold for over an hour to get some clarification on my solar bill. I was then told that someone will get back to me in 48 to 72 hours to address my inquiry. This is unacceptable.
If I could subtract stars I would. First they double billed me several months in a row, now they are charging a late fee for bills THEY mail out late! I received my bill today 12/27/2021 with a bill date of 12/17/2021 AND a surprise late fee of $10.00 because THEY cannot mail the bill out in time! This company seriously needs to be audited for improprieties. I cannot recommend solar energy due to the unscrupulous nature of this company.
I am a customer due to the takeover with ***. it was always easier to pay my monthly bill of 71.00 a year in advance. At the time of the takeover, my credit balance with NRG was about $700. Then, every month, I would receive a bill from this company for my monthly fee of $70. Of course, I did not pay it. I thought my credit balance would eventually roll over. I don’t even think this is a real company run by real people. No one answers no one responds how is this even legal. Mind you this was not a company I chose I was defaulted to them when NRG was sold. I don’t know how I’m supposed to get anything accomplished when no one will respond to me. This is terrible.
