Our experience has been the same as the other reviews. Numerous emails and phone call. Added charges for late fees when checks have been cashed. We did a re-fi on our home and had to pay the amount Spruce said we owed them and didn't because it was showing as a past due. There should be a zero star. With all of these individuals having the same customer service and billing issues. What can be done? Who can we escalate this to? Attorney General? Who oversees these types of solar issues?

Worst company ever! 0 (ZERO) star ! Problem with my billing! Have spent over a year trying to change bank account on auto pay with no success after multiple phone calls and put on holds for 30-50-75 minutes and sometimes longer and I just end up hanging up. So here I am again trying to fix auto pay account a year later and have talked to 3 different people today (3 calls) and after voicing my frustration to the 2nd customer service representative he hung up on me. Fraud of a company..AVOID THEM!!! Billing is a complete mess. Statement will say one amount, but you call to make a payment and are asked to pay a higher amount

Ditto Ditto Ditto to all the below reviews. I have experienced the exact same issues and am at a loss to know how to proceed. I continue to make payments, as I do not want my credit score to tank or be put in collections. However, I can not reach anyone at this company, through any method, to resolve any of the below issues. Again, every thing mentioned below is EXACTLY what I would say!

I am being consumed by this company. they lost my payment last year. took months to have them find it. after many calls and emails with copy of cashed check. they finally updated my bill and then hit me with late fees. Previously ***costumer. Never had a problem. Spruce doesn't have online login in place. The people on the phones and responding to emails are not very helpful at all. Not getting my bills. I am told that the system has not been updated. but it is the system that charges late fees automatically.

We have 50 solar panels. 13 of them are not producing due to microinverters not reporting and needing to be replaced. Amber at Spruce Power says they won't replace the devices because the system is meeting 'the production guarantee'. She further states that, if the system begins to fail to meet the 'production guarantee', they would initiate a work order. We are paying - according to her - for a certain level of PRODUCTION....not panels. However, 50 panels make a LOT more power than 37 and excess power gets "banked" by our p... read more

3 weeks ago we called the Billing department with our complaint regarding overcharges. In the last 5 months of 2021 they overcharged us by 493 kWh. The man on the other side took our information and told us someone will get back to us in 2 to 4 days. Of course nobody called, our emails are undeliverable and the site doesn’t work. So what now? This company is horrible. My issue with them is customer service and billings. They have been charging me "non-ACH" fees for not joining their automatic payment program. The contract states a discount for joining, but they are coursing customers into joining by charging customers a fee if they do not. They also charge late charges if you don't pay by the 1st. ZERO STARS! SPRUCE POWER is a fraud. Since middle June 2021 my systems has been running at 66% capacity. I have 13 panels not in service. When I call them I get the run around. They have been nothing but a problem throughout the season of COVID - billing was screwed up, customer service went to the crapper, the even tried "collections" on a regularly due payment that was not due yet. we pay our bill in good faith but Spruce does not operate in good faith.
