Constant issues with billing since Spruce took over. Never had issues with my former company.

This company is one of the worst companies. I got stuck with them when NRG sold. I did NOT have a contract with these crooks. Have had billing issues from day one. Have called several times and have been on hold for an hour and then got disconnected! They keep sending bills saying I have past due amounts when they are paid electronically BEFORE the bill is due. I called their customer service and told her I do not appreciate getting overdue notices when my bank statement clearly states that they received my payment. I have a... read more

Just as every other person stated on here... worst solar company business ever! S*******y was sold to this Spruce Finance/Solar Service company and its been down hill ever since. Solar has been offline for 1 1/2 months now, they only have one "888" number to call. The personnel provide no assistance except to email the support team, which then you get no response for weeks later with no resolution. They are absolutely horrible. They overbilled me on my last bill. I have been trying to get a response for over 2 weeks. I've sent multiple emails. Every time i call, i'm on hold for over 30 mins and end up with their calling service. Left 3 messages with their calling service and no response.

I am appalled that one has to wait 48-72 hours for a call back from billing. This company is very inefficient, and I am sorry I ever signed the contract. Future customers beware, and find another company.

I think there should be an option for a negative star review. We bought our house at the first of 2021 and it took until July 2021 for them to get the billing switched over from the prior owner. And credit goes to them because SJ wouldnt even talk to me as we didnt have an account - everything was still in the former owners name. (how did escrow close?) I found out we finally had an account number when we called ONCE AGAIN to tell them that we were not receiving any credit on our power bills. Of course not because it wasnt i... read more

I would give this company a minus star if possible. We have a leak on our roof, under the solar panel where it is attached to the home. We have contacted the company and were told since it is 5 years past the purchase date they will not honor removing the panels so we can have the roof replaced, The cost to us, we are on a fixed income, senior citizens, will be over 6,000 dollars JUST TO REMOVE THE PANELS, the cost to replace the roof that is leaking due to the solar panels will be over 3,000 dollars. The Company began to handle my lease payment from ***recently and each month is a challenge.. My payment have been set up on auto pay and all worked well for about 12 years, now comes along this Spruce Finance, or Spruce Juniper, or energy source, take you pick and since Feb of 21 they failed to take my payments that continued thru May when I returned from my winter vacation and did my bank statements, I noticed they have not taken payments for Feb., March, April, May, or June. Spruce Solar is the absolute company to deal with. I wish I could cancel this since it's been nothing but a joke. They say they're closed when I call at 9:00am but then the auto-message says the hours start at 7:00am. There's no online options to pay at all. Also, it took months for the account to get transferred over to us and they kept contacting the previous owner for payment.
