They don't even know what there billing for. No solar production or rate charged on the bill as well as the Non ACH charge. I have called and talked to them twice both time 1 + hour on hold and three emails. I got tired of the fight and shut the panels off. They have been off for a month now I know what by bill will be $0. I am not going to give them an open check book to billing. Working on getting the local News to investigate. Stay away at all cost.
Spruce took over my contract from NRG and I was not notified until it was done. When I was with NRG I had a set date my payment was removed. For the pass two months they have been taking the payment out whenever they want. But it is now February and they have not taking it and that leaves me in limbo with my other bills. Tried to call can not get it touch with anyone, all the numbers are not working at this time. Please I need to go back to NRG or another company.
when this company took over,my payments went up from $79.97 to $84.92 . i have tried to contact them for over a month now,calling and kept ringing with no answer. i finally talked to someone who said they could not help me and transferred me to billing where it just rang forever. I have also emailed the company twice now and have had no reply back.This company is a JOKE!!!! reading the previous reviews on this company I would like to know why the BBB is not shutting it down?
I agree with the statements below as well. My contract was bought by Spruce from NRG and I can not reach anyone on a simple billing question. All of a sudden i see a Non ACH fee and i have no idea what that is for or how to waive it. I have tried for a month to reach someone via email, phone waiting for over 2 hours. i have googled to find additional numbers and emails and still nothing. i have even tried to contact the corporate office and can not find a number that works. This is the worst company i ever has to deal with. They bought my Solar from NRG i was not notified until after the buy out. They have billed me for months that i have already paid to nrg after waiting on hold several time for a total of 12 hours they fixed 1 month and told me to email them with proof for the second month. I have sent tht email 3 times and still have not heard back i have now invested over 20 hours sitting on hold and now have 2 hours on hold today and i am still waiting.
Spruce Finance is terrible. They have taken over the billing for our original solar company "NRG Home Solar". NRG was great. I'm now dealing with the 3rd billing cycle. Statement date is 1/15/21, arrived today 1/25/21. Statement states due on 2/1. I've just paid my original payment. I am not paying them their "Non ACH Fee" of $4.95. If I could give them no stars I would! Worst company ever! You cannot get through their customer service line. You can't log into any website to pay your bill. You are charge extra for non-ACH payments even though they give you NO opportunity to sign up for ACH payments. They take 2 months to email back and the replies have nothing to do with your original inquiry. I wish I had another finance option with my solar panels. They are terrible. I wish they had a Facebook or Twitter page so I could warn people to never use them.
I agree with everything that has been written about this company. When they bought our contract from SunServe Energy in September 2020 they dropped our ACH. We were not billed the first month and then received an invoice for two months. After that things got worse with them charging a "Non-ACH" fee (even though we had nothing to do with it dropping off and were not informed about it), a small late charge that should not have been charged to us, an increase in the lease amount and taxes, etc. My last attempt to get informatio... read more
Spruce bought my lease from NRG in October 2020. My bill has never been a set price from month to month since the switch. It started at $89.84 for October then went to $97.88 for November, and then the bill for December jumped to $200.71. I called them and was on hold until the call just ended which happened after waiting for two hours. I then emailed them on 12/28/2020 to the billing email listed on the bill and have yet to get a response so I can get a reason as so why my bill doubled for no reason.
