I am trying to refinance my house and I just found out that Spruce solar, the company who actually bought my old solar company is charging an outrageous $395 to terminate the UCC file and reinstate it once the house is refinanced. This is just pure theft. The average charge for such a service by any other solar company is between $100 and $150. I tried to call them and I have been on hold for 45 minutes and could not be ever transferred to a manager. I will not recommend any one to use this company to get solar panel. I can ... read more

If I could give it a zero I would. They are unavailable and are sending me late bills even though my payments are being taken out of my account. I have been trying to reach someone about this issue for over a week several emails and calls and no response. Our previous company was amazing and I want out. Is there any way to get a new servicing company or to buy out my system? Please help I have been leasing for 6 years with no issues but this company has been a headache since day one!!

This company should be investigated and closed. They are crooks. They send you inflated bills with no explanation they receive and cash an $85. check and credit you $74. and tell you you have a back balance of $50. What the heck kind of math is this??? They are supposed to regularly come out and check the system I haven't seen anyone in years. My solar bills keep getting higher since NRG was taken out of the picture I went from $9. a month to $130. Something has to be done.

The billing portal has been down...forever. They can't keep track of anything. I prepaid three months so I could not not have to waste the rest of my life on hold trying to pay my bill and I just got a bill telling me I still owe for May plus June. I prepaid through July. No record of that other than the receipt I have. Apparently they don't know they got my money and sent a receipt. I spent an hour on hold two days ago and got the answering service- not someone in billing-and was promised a call back. Which never came. I ju... read more

Wish I didn’t have to give them one star! Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I didn’t think any business could be worse than NRG! My system is not working correctly since the buy out. I called to ask them to run diagnostics ; I was on hold for an hour. Finally, when I actually got to speak to a human, they told me to take a picture of my meter and send them my electric bills. I was told it would take them five business days to get back to me. Where do you go from here?

To Whom it May Concern: I called Spruce Solar and they stated that they do not see my credit in my account for $356.07. I also went back to NRG to ask if they see this credit anymore and their billing department said that they have transferred all data to Spruce Solar as of February 2nd, 2021. Can you please do another payment inquiry to see if you see the credit for $356.07? I have been trying to obtain status on this since February going on 4 months now. When I call, I am on hold for hours. When I email, I get no response.... read more

This is the worst finance company I’ve ever experienced. They are completely clueless on how their own internal operations work. It’s been nothing but a nightmare being a client of theirs.

Cannot reach ANYONE - whether it be for technical support or to make a payment. Hold times average over an hour, they don't respond to e-mails OR postal mail. Unfortunately, my solar was inherited by NRG, which was amazing! What can I do to get out from under this company?

I’m experiencing extreme problems with spruce and the lease transfer to new buyer. They are not available to speak with and they have continued to drag out a transfer to buyer. This has been a problem since September 2020. Between emails nothing has moved forward-very poor service with no results
