Like all of the other reviews here, I agree that this company is a complete and total joke. I have no idea of the balance owed or anything relating to this lease because this company will not answer telephone calls or respond to emails. NRG sold my lease to this company and because they did that I will never do business with either company ever again.
Spruce Finance (https://***********.com/), with its subsidiary Energy Services Experts (https://energyserviceexperts.com/), took over my solar energy lease from NRG Home Solar. Since then, billing has been a total nightmare: my payments are not recorded, surcharges are not explained, charges for 'returned checks' due to incorrect payment address information supplied. I agree with most of these posts. They repeatedly overcharge me and are impossible to contact. I'm not sure how this company hasn't been investigated.
It took us over 1/2 hour to get anyone to answer their phone. I was told that they are having difficulty setting all this up. Sometimes I get a bill from them and sometimes I don't. It's never on time. I have sent them payments for the past 4 months and only one of the checks has been cashed. I asked about the online pay option and was told that it's also way behind. I have no idea where my checks have gone since they are not listed on my account and haven't been cashed. I'm also getting late payment dunning letters saying t... read more
Please everyone, file a complaint with the FTC and your state attorney general's office in order to get some type of resolution to billing and lease problems with Spruce Finance. They will not respond to a BBB complaint. This is clearly a scam where Spruce bought out a bunch of bankrupt solar companies are are unable or unwilling to properly service the contracts even though they continue to pursue payments. I have had a no responsive situation with this company also Spruce Power 3 LLC, I haven't missed any payments with the transition of them taking over and got 2 notices about past due payments which have been cashed by Capital One bank and cleared through my bank. I have called and put on hold for more than an hour and the same message about , " we are currently having a high call volume and you need to send an email to billing department, I did and still no response from them.
This is insane. Horrible company. We should file a class action lawsuit. Ever since they sold my contract from NRG to Spruce I have never been able to get any help. My power reduction seems to be less and what they are charging me is more. I can't even see my production to compare it to anything. I was paying my bills and they show it as not paying and STILL they will not answer the phone.
