Dr. Boyd has taken care of our three dogs for years, and we couldn't have asked for a more compassionate and knowledgeable vet. She's been there through everything- routine visits, health scares, seizures, medications and everything in between with so much care and dedication. As we prepare to relocate, it's incredibly hard to imagine finding someone who will care for our pups the way she did. We're truly going to miss her and are so grateful for everything she's done for our family. Thank you, Dr. Boyd!

Nice interior. Small, but free parking lot. Lovely employees. It's just, their prices are astronomical. For instance, they gave me a price of $1,000 to spay my female puppy. I opted to have her spayed at a different animal hospital. The total price was $370. So, I can't afford Suburban.

We have been bring several of our pets to Suburban for over 20 years. Dr. Casper is a very well informed and compassionate vet. She able to diagnosis our Lab with with Lupus. Our Lab was in bad shape, but with her expertise and our following a plan our dog lived another 7 years. She eventually succumbed to cancer. Dr. Casper and the other vets were always available for us. Our kitty, our new lab and a senior Maltipoo (14 years old) all see the vets at Suburban Animal. They have been a part of our family , we trust t... read more

I wanted to give our veterinarian Dr. Kelly McGrath a shout-out. We have been taking both our dogs to her exclusively since we moved to the Falls Church area a little over 2 years ago, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. We got a puppy (just turned 2!) who has been one hell of a handful, constantly eating everything she could get her mouth on and struggling with a UTI and incontinence as a puppy. Dr. McGrath went out of her way more times than I can could on hands and feet to help us and reassure us of the path for... read more

Expensive One receptionist is consistently rude, I understand long hours behind a desk but cmon. Whoever this is that takes incoming phone calls (I'm pretty sure I know who). I feel like she answers most of the time and every question I ask she acts like I'm stupid for asking. Vets are very good there they know exactly what they are doing. The other receptionist is lovely, we chit chat every time I come in. If it weren't for that sour receptionist and prices I'd leave 4 stars. Edit: After looking through the reviews i... read more

Suburban's manager called later that day to apologize and they managed to squeeze in an appt for him later in the day which we appreciated. No issues on his care at all, the docs there are all knowledgeable and nice to deal with.

Update: I hadn't brought my cat in for a vet visit for nearly 4 years and the thought of running yet another errand during the limited free time I have when my daughter is at dayschool was overwhelming. But I knew I had to bite the bullet and get my cat checked to make sure she was healthy. Because of Covid you have the option of a curbside visit. So you call when you get there, tell them your space number, and someone comes and gets your pet. You stay in your car and the vet gives you a call on your cell. Then you pay by ... read more

I just got a little Maltese puppy and was not about to hand it over to anyone without me in the room. They will allow you to come in with your pet. The staff is friendly and so are all the vets they give excellent care and send helpful reminders.
