It scares me that this place has so many negative reviews, in fact, after 8 years of taking my dog here I was getting ready to switch vets b/c of all the negativity. My dog then got really really sick and I couldn't get in to the new vet so we went here. They treated her so well, were quick to diagnose her, were very responsive to my questions and were all around professional in nursing my extremely sick dog back to health. I really love and trust this vet. This office is certainly not the most affordable place in town, but it is certainly a place a feel comfortable taking my pet. If you are up front with the staff about what you expect price-wise they will totally work with you. As a rather new pet owner I call the vet all the time for advice and they could not be nicer about it. I always get a response that same day no matter what. I want to make 4 points: First, I think the front office staff has gotten much better, probably taking these reviews to heart. In the past they often seemed more interested in talking to each other than in focusing their attention on the client. But it's better now. Second, Dr. Schrader is fantastic. He can't be God, but he always takes the time to give good explanations, and offer his best counsel, with complete compassion, and obvious passion for his profession. I have two cats and a dog and we have been going here for years. The vets are absolutely amazing - they seriously know their stuff and are willing to answer any questions. They are a little pricey, but it is not uncommon pricing for the area. I rescued my second cat off of the road when he was just a kitten. I took him here and they treated him for FREE just because Dr. S. wanted to thank me for saving the cat. My dog is very high maintenance, but all of the vets there are wonderful with him.

I highly recommend Suburban Animal Hospital. Every vet, tech and front desk receptionist has been so friendly and nice everytime we go in there. I am surprised to hear such negative things being said about this place, because I really do feel they care about your pets and do a wonderful job.

We have taken our pugs to Suburban for a few years and they have been wonderful, especially Dr. Benham. We have dealt with everything from communicable diseases picked up at daycare to puzzling, persistent food allergies. The vets have been thorough, always worked us in when needed - often during last minute emergencies, and waived a number of fees when we've had repeat visits due to illness. I have been with Suburban for over three years for boarding and vetinary care, and the staff has always been courteous and attentive. It is simply inaccurate to describe the customer service as anything but professional. The staff have always been incrediblely courteous to both me and my pet for both boarding and care, both in person and over the phone. My experience with Suburban vets has also been great. are you kidding? any great vet,(as all at suburban are) who will pick up my Lolita, a Rotti in Chihuahua dress, has got to love em...Dr. Ginnger is still trying to get Hopi down to a healthy weight and we'll keep at it, and Dr. Sharder had to cancel his golf outing to finish surgery on Foxly..just the way he does things ...keep on going you guys you're the greatest

We have been going to Suburban ever since our dog was 7 weeks old. We ABSOLUTELY love Dr. Schrader and think he's the best! Not only does he care for our dog, but in our visits he always educates us more about the breed. The only reason 4 stars is that sometimes the front staff aren't as friendly as they could be.
