I have used Surburban since 2009 for two mixed-breed rescues. One has had multiple serious issues from puppyhood, the other has had none! Dr Casper is my surgeon and primary vet (she saved my 2-yr old dog's life), but I've seen others on occasion. The degree of diagnostic expertise in this practice is truly impressive (as successful as most of my own specialists and why I could never leave Surburban). On my cat's recent visit, we were treated so wonderfully by the vet, Dr. Boyd, I believe, and the vet tech. My poor scared 12-year-old cat was made as comfortable as possible by the pair. Wonderful, friendly staff, who explain everything very thoroughly and patiently.

We have been using Suburban for over 10 years now. Dr. Kalinsky and Dr. Halbert have been our current dog and previous dogs vets. We have never felt pressured to do more in the way of treatments even if those treatments would only marginally improve our pets quality of life. This was especially the case for our previous senior citizen pups - a lab and a lab/shepherd mix. We love Dr. Kalinsky. She has the right blend of understanding about both pets and people. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and yet also understands when it's time to let go. We LOVE her!

I have had four dogs taken care of at Surburban over the past 28 years. They have always been professional, friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The grooming is a plus as well.

We've been using Suburban Animal Hospital for the last 8 years. It's hard to improve on excellence, but Suburban Animal hospital managed to do it. We've been frequent flyers there with our dog lately and have seen many vets, including for emergencies, sick visits and regular care. The customer service from the front desk staff is bar none. I started taking my dog here 2 years ago. I've been nothing, but happy with them since! The vets always take time to explain treatments options. The staff are lovely and you can tell they really want to make your visit go smoothly. You can tell everyone there loves animals and it's not just a job for them. Bottom line: great vets who take the time to diagnose your pet and explain it to you and fantastic staff!

After my puppy got ran over by a car (PSA: if you see an animal in the street, PLEASE stop. Its cruel to run over a puppy), I called this animal hospital to let them know I was dropping by to check out my puppy. Although they suggested another emergency clinic, they accepted us anyway. We were in a distraught state as we came in, and immediately a nurse took my puppy from my hands to get started right away with the doctor. Another nurse then gave me a box of tissues. I have been going to Suburban for over 10 years. I live in Rockville and I still refuse to leave them! Dr. Casper is the kindest and most caring vet that I have ever worked with. She has been on point with both of my dogs and has seen me through some difficult times. I can't say enough about the compassion and professionalism of all who work there. Thanks Suburban!
