I struggle to give them even one star. I paid my application fee and it took over a month to get an answer on whether I was approved. They told me the tenant decided to stay in the apartment after I had applied. I was not offered a refund for my application fee, which I should have been given that the apartment was no longer available. I only live in Dexter park for a year, and that apt is awful! Mice and rats all over the apt! The ladies in the office which located in the Dexter park are rude! And awful! Those awful ladies! I have never see such a bad system in a office, nobody knows what they are doing and everyone is push the responsibility, mistake our check for rent then charge us extra money for not paying rent on time! Really?
John Tormey at Hamilton 1025, LLC is the worst at his job. Never answers the phone, takes days to reply to emails (when he does), and does not do his job. I talked to him about leaving a month before my lease would end, he said it was fine, sent me the papers to sign (after my 3rd request) and said we were okay to leave at the end of the month. I was very interested in THC's 62 Boylston St. property. One of my coworkers said the apartments were relatively clean, and it was very close to work. The main downside, I thought, was simply the location. The building is right by the Green and also a homeless shelter, so there is both more noise and more crime than some other areas. Worst experience in Boston . I can't wait to finish my contract. 1. I'm living with my wife and the guy downstairs didn't want to pick up the mail with her name. I complained in the office and they told I have to pay 360$ to receive the mail with her name. I'm still wondering if is legal or not. 2. Today my wife get out of the shower and there were people inside the unit. With her towel they tell her is 1m that they are showing the unit. There was not any Hamilton worker during that visit. Regarding the 1144-1160 Commonwealth ave properties, the safety is terrible. There are multiple transient/ homeless that sleep in the basements even during the spring/ summer nights. Packages are constantly stolen and there is no video surveillance to abate the problem. The best thing to expect The Hamilton Company to do after a complaint has been served is to put up a memo in the front lobby. They can do whatever they want because there is very high demand for the area and it's merely a customer service issue for them. On ... read more

The Property Coordinator will drive you nuts. I have never seen someone who was SO BAD at work. A simple request can take 10 emails back and forth and still has nothing solved. And they have almost lost my check. The Property Coordinator first emailed me saying she couldn't find my check and asked me to call the bank to disable it. After I called the bank and paid for the fee, she emailed me again saying she has found it and asked me to ignore the previous email.
