Hamilton company is literally the WORST property company in Boston. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I had a horrible experience with these people. I was moving from another state for grad school, and I opened up the door to discover a total mess on day one. They never cleaned the place after the last tenant, despite telling me in writing that it would be cleaned. The heat / air didn't work and were extremely loud in fan-mode. Repair people were ineffective and repeatedly delayed. The management never replied to me promptly. Avoid. Let me tell you about our year with The Hamilton Company at our Coolidge Corner apartment... Besides the unannounced, unscheduled intrusions into your apartment by the building manager, the inane rent increases, having packages disappear from the foyer as well as an expensive pair of boots removed from outside our door to be taken out with the trash, we had no major problems with the apartment itself. This company is awful. I lived there a couple years ago at the Brighton Ave apartment. To start, the apartment was dirty when I moved in. The maintenance workers would leave the mess and whatever parts they had removed such as pipes on the ground after them. No one returned calls. When I left, they asked if I could move a few days early so they could get the apartment ready for the next renter who wanted to move in right at the beginning of the month and my contract was til the end of the month so I changed my moving date an... read more

I lived here for an year. The apartments are well managed and I faced no major issue over the course of the year. The management staff is very professional and repair requests are addressed as per the urgency of the issue. Once the refrigerator had some issues and it was replaced with a brand new one within 24 hours. The staff was very accommodating when I had certain special requests due to personal situation. Love my apartment. Not so impressed with maintenance. Constantly having to hound maintenance to do the jobs I request need to be done. Other than that I love the location of my apartment and the leasing agent was very nice and professional.
Great management company. I think the bad reviews are really old or maybe its just the location I was at, but I had a great experience. I have lived there for 3 years. I'll be leaving to move to a different part of Boston that Hamilton doesn't own anything in. I considered moving to a different property by Hamilton as I really have had an amazing experience with them, but it didn't work on based on my job. 62 Boylston is awful building to live in. Do not sign a lease with them and make sure to read all these reviews. The fire alarm goes off all the time in the middle of the night, there are rodents, you wash your clothes next to trash and the machines do not work, the utility bills will be much higher compared to other managed buildings because this building is so old, and the leasing office is completely unprofessional. The rents are a rip off when you see what you get yourself into. Do not sign!!
