As a brand new transfer student at Emerson I moved into a unit at the Hamilton Company's, 62 Boylston. WORST EXPERINCE OF MY LIFE, DO NOT LEASE HERE. I thought it would be my best option living here because it was across the street from school since I love to sleep in, but turns out that I rather communte 1 hour to school than to renew my lease with them. 1. I had an extremely disappointing experience trying to apply for one of their apartment units in Watertown. After viewing the apartment on a Friday I was told that I needed to apply online but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it (and I consider myself a tech savvy guy). Unfortunately the property managers were completely unresponsive by phone or email over the weekend so I couldn't get any clarity, and then I was told Monday morning that someone else (apparently smarter than me) applied online and took my ap... read more
Awful awful awful. Our lease is just about up (pray they won't give me trouble over this review) and after 2 eviction attempts, over matters not our fault at all, and then trying to get us to have everything out on the 31st (hello are you NEW to the Boston realty industry? Where are we supposed to put everything until the morning of the 1st?). Everyone at the company has no idea what's going on and are crooks. The first eviction attempt was our realtors fault-fine. Horrible experience with them today. There was a listing on Craigslist for a 1 bd apt near Harvard sq available for move in on august 1st. Replied to the post and made very clear in my email that august 1st is what I was looking for. Scheduled a viewing taking time off work and once I was there the agent told me he thought I was looking for something for September 1st, and that nothing was available for August. No one apologised for the inconvenience obviously. Overall very unprofessional. Will avoid them in the future.
Hamilton company is literally the WORST property company in Boston. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. THEY ARE CROOKS AND CRIMINALS AND HIGHLY UNORGANIZED AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN BY THE MASSACHUSETTS GOVERNMENT. BASICALLY ONCE MY LEASE IS UP I AM PLANNING ON SUING THEM FOR ANYTHING I CAN. I had a horrible experience with these people. I was moving from another state for grad school, and I opened up the door to discover a total mess on day one. They never cleaned the place after the last tenant, despite telling me in writing that it would be cleaned. The heat / air didn't work and were extremely loud in fan-mode. Repair people were ineffective and repeatedly delayed. The management never replied to me promptly. Avoid. Let me tell you about our year with The Hamilton Company at our Coolidge Corner apartment... Besides the unannounced, unscheduled intrusions into your apartment by the building manager, the inane rent increases, having packages disappear from the foyer as well as an expensive pair of boots removed from outside our door to be taken out with the trash, we had no major problems with the apartment itself. This company is awful. I lived there a couple years ago at the Brighton Ave apartment. To start, the apartment was dirty when I moved in. The maintenance workers would leave the mess and whatever parts they had removed such as pipes on the ground after them. No one returned calls. When I left, they asked if I could move a few days early so they could get the apartment ready for the next renter who wanted to move in right at the beginning of the month and my contract was til the end of the month so I changed my moving date an... read more
