Regarding the 1144-1160 Commonwealth ave properties, the safety is terrible. There are multiple transient/ homeless that sleep in the basements even during the spring/ summer nights. Packages are constantly stolen and there is no video surveillance to abate the problem. The best thing to expect The Hamilton Company to do after a complaint has been served is to put up a memo in the front lobby. They can do whatever they want because there is very high demand for the area and it's merely a customer service issue for them. On ... read more
The Property Coordinator will drive you nuts. I have never seen someone who was SO BAD at work. A simple request can take 10 emails back and forth and still has nothing solved. And they have almost lost my check. The Property Coordinator first emailed me saying she couldn't find my check and asked me to call the bank to disable it. After I called the bank and paid for the fee, she emailed me again saying she has found it and asked me to ignore the previous email. I said I have disabled the check and paid the fee already, and... read more
Terrible management at Dexter Park. Meghan Doherty at Dexter Park is one of the most arrogant person I have ever talked to. I feel like I am taking orders from her. If she is not a relative of your company, fire her please to make people feel home at dexter park, not a camp. Plus she never solved the mice problem, which has been around for over 6 months.
STAY AWAY!!!! I had bug issues from the day I moved in, water issues, and there was a lack of response from maintenance. I was late on one payment due to a computer error and was threatened with eviction without any warning. I cannot wait to finish my lease and move as far away as possible.

I rented for only a few months with the Hamilton Company (moved cities mid lease) and I have to say, they couldn't have been more helpful. Leases are year long contracts but they assisted in advertising the apartment, working with me on close out items and kept a constant line of communication open. A special thanks to Anthony Dallesandro who responded to my many emails with helpful tips to try to get the word out finding a new renter and clear instructions on how I should terminate the lease. Breaking a lease mid year is i... read more
The absolute worst people in the world to deal with. They're unresponsive to emails, rude and all around bad at their jobs. I think the only reason they're still open is because the college students have no choice but to deal with them. I lived in Dexter for three years in college and mostly liked it, but whenever I had to deal with management it was such a headache. Simple things like replying to an email takes two or three followups and an irritated call before you can expect a reply. Awful. Absolutely awful. They don't ca... read more
As a brand new transfer student at Emerson I moved into a unit at the Hamilton Company's, 62 Boylston. WORST EXPERINCE OF MY LIFE, DO NOT LEASE HERE. I thought it would be my best option living here because it was across the street from school since I love to sleep in, but turns out that I rather communte 1 hour to school than to renew my lease with them. 1. Maintance strolls into your apartment UNANNOUNCED. I can't even count how many times I was either sleeping or in the bathroom and them just walking in. Like, HELLO I'm a... read more
I had an extremely disappointing experience trying to apply for one of their apartment units in Watertown. After viewing the apartment on a Friday I was told that I needed to apply online but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it (and I consider myself a tech savvy guy). Unfortunately the property managers were completely unresponsive by phone or email over the weekend so I couldn't get any clarity, and then I was told Monday morning that someone else (apparently smarter than me) applied online and took my ap... read more
