Horrible Servicer Refinanced our loan through Better.com and The Money Source (TMS) is servicing the loan. What a nightmare. Months back I made a large payment toward principal and TMS screwed that up. It took multiple phone calls with lengthy wait times over a two week period to resolve. I've had 4 different mortgage lenders in my lifetime. The Money Source is the absolute worst. Long hold times on the phone, they didn't pay my taxes early enough for early bird discount like every other lender I've used, and they somehow lost an extra principal payment I made. I've had to call multiple times and every time its over 30 minute wait and once I get someone on the phone, I'm assured it "will be" resolved but it never is. This Company is Awful. I am a brand new loan client at TMS. My first payment is due on October 1st. I can show the money was electronically transferred from Suntrust to them on 9/30 but they haven’t applied it to my account. Tonight they send me email saying my payment is due. My payment to Wells Fargo went out the same day and posted overnight. This place is off to very bad start. Why is the wait time so long? And, once you do get through, the customer service department hangs up or gets disconnected. I have been on wait for 5hrs total. My issue needs resolved! I would never recommend this mortgage company.
TO: Kristi Schleiker - TMS, INC 8/28/20 I have had NO luck with TMS thus far in getting my mortgage loan Recasting accomplished and the PMI removed, which was agreed to by TMS. Refinanced and The Money Source is our current mortgage company. When refinancing we provided out mortgage insurance information. Recently we received in the mail that we are currently not insured and they are going to select a provider if we do not resolve the issue. We contacted them multiple times and provided our mortgage insurance information company. We ha our insurance company reach out and They Money Source has still not resolves the issue. The worst company ever. Check with the payment was sent weeks ago and still was not processed. Absolutely useless support. Supervisor never calls back even though promised to do so. Avoid if possible. Unfortunately I had no choice and was assigned this company as payment processor for my mortgage.
This company deserves the points, step away from them, if I could give 0, I would. Only trouble, nothing else. I setup the auto payment on April 20th, But they never withdraw from my bank account ( they told me the first withdraw happens on June 1st, but that never happen). I called back and payed the full amount, but that hurts my credit from full 800(never miss a payment in past 10 years) to 700 and do not will to fix this because of their mistake.
