TMS is unhelpful and out of touch with modern payment methods, they will not allow partial payments online via ACH only over the phone with a fee. Its the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen mortgage companies across the nation offer biweekly or split twice a month payment options but TMS cant seem to figure it out. Im considering refinancing my loan just to get away from them.
Out of touch and unwilling to help in times of crisis. Husband was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and starting chemo. We were unsure if he could go back to full time work right away and asked for assistance. I was told they only had programs to help in cases of Covid. Apparently they don’t know there are other debilitating issues and cancer is extremely expensive to fight.
I am a mid 30's, male, UC Berkeley grad, working business professional. I never missed a mortgage payment. In May 2020, TMS notified customers via email + snail mail to contact them if you experienced hardship due to the Covid pandemic. If you can NOT use this company...DO NOT! They do not use best practices of waiting 30 days before starting your mortgage. The minute the loan clears, for which I did all the work, they are vultures in waiting. I have purchased MANY homes and used many different mortgage companies and NEVER have I been treated so poorly. I'm really sorry I have to do any business with these jerks.
THIS COMPANY IS A BIG FRAUD. Worst Company I have ever dealt with. Repeat liars and fraudsters. I have been trying to get my escrow refund since last 3 months but get lied every time that refund has been sent. Now I paid off the loan and they are holding on escrow balance. As per T&C, they need to refund escrow balance after loan paid off in 10 business days. That time has passed and no refund issued yet. Reporting to SEC now.
I have been on hold for over two hours trying to figure out why a check was cut to my insurance company less than two month's after I paid the annual premium in full. When I finally spoke with someone, he told me my loan number and SSN are invalid. I've already made my first payment but apparently my loan isn't in their system. Between them and the originator (Better.com), this has been a nightmare. Stay as far away as you can.
My loan was transferred to this company on June 5th. I was not informed of this. On June 8th I received a call stating that my loan payment was past due. I never received anything from them saying that they took over my loan. So how was I suppose to make a payment? I was on forbearance for 3 months from my last mortgage company. I did not receive anything for them until 17 June welcoming to this company. Three letters were sent 2 of which telling me I was late. This is not a good way to welcome someone to your company!
Property taxes not paid even a month after they were due and township sent delinquency notice. Called to inform and was told I have to call again next week so I could talk to their tax department. Burden is now on me to work with the town as well as try to get TMS to pay the taxes.
Same experience as the rest of the one stars more than a month in to the loan and still didnt recive any paperwork...my loan pfficer contacted them on my reques and they gave him a 9digit loan number turns out theyr loan has to be 10 numbers i called them spoke with a rapresentative and nothing my account cant be found gave my social the address of the proprety and nothing zip the loan dosent exist yet im late on the payment
