This place is fairly new in the HEB strip mall so very close to my house which is a plus. We found this puppy and I wanted to get her in ASAP to see if we could get her scanned for a microchip and tested for worms and all of that good stuff. I sent them an email requesting my appointment dates and received a reply in short order with my first appointment request. My very large dog was having breathing problems and I was really worried because I didn't have a lot of extra money, certainly not enough for our previous vet. They got us in the same day, at 5:30pm which was so helpful because we didn't have to leave work early. They were extremely thorough and it turned out to be nothing too serious. Our dog had to have emergency surgery and we were financially strapped. I called multiple places in the Austin area with no luck on anyone wanting to help us out. Then I came across Thrive and couldn't have found a better place. Dr. Smallwood and the rest of the staff were so friendly and kind and immediately took us in! We even received calls the day of surgery the days following to keep us updated and ask how he was. Not only did they save us money, but they saved our dog! I don't think I could thank them enough.

Made my first trip here yesterday. Loved everything. They ask before they do anything. Prices were better than I had found anywhere, and I mean anywhere. Very caring. clean and neat. Very short wait. I just can not say enough good about this place and the people there.

My brussels griffon is pregnant and I wasn't sure how many puppies she was going to have and I wanted to make sure my baby wasn't going to have any issues. Dr.Smallwood and her staff were amazing!! It is all about the kindness and truly they express that to us.

My puppy was sick late in the day and my usual vet wasn't able to fit me in. Luckily I had remembered seeing Thrive's store front over the weekend and called them to see if I could bring her in. The staff was super helpful getting us at 5:00. The Doctor gave her a thorough exam, ran a couple of tests, gave her a shot of anti-nausea medication, some kind of hydration injection, gave us a prescription for her bacterial infection, a 6 month dose of heart worm and flea preventative and all for less than $160 ($61 of which was... read more

I am VERY particular about whom we will take our pets to for care, but having just moved here from another state and being faced with a complicated emergency, we opted for the closest place, Thrive, and hoped for the best. We were so pleased with the outcome. Care and treatment were provided at a very affordable price. The Dr. was thorough, detailed and knowledgeable. Edit: Owner of the clinic called to discuss his failed "nail trim" - we weren't there for a nail trim. They can't get basic information correct which is concerning. I emailed and called about his vet records two weeks ago which were never sent. I called again this morning for them and they said I was probably using the wrong email - they emailed me the vet records while I was on the phone from the same email address I was sending requests to. What a horrific experience. This place should be investigated for malpractice. They up charge unnecessary and painful procedures even knowing your pet will not make it. Disgusting. I'm assuming the veterinarians who recommend these procedures get some type of financial incentive by Thrive. This is not a fake review. I'm sure they will go above and beyond to get this review removed, just like many others.
