Despite the bad reviews i decided to check them out since they were offering a free well exam for my dog. Let's just say, what exam? They attempted to check his vitals and couldn't do that. Blamed it on him being a French bulldog and his heavy breathing. Attempted to check his temp through his ear and he barked/cried (clearly they hurt him because he's never barked like that with me) I GUESS THE VITALS WAS THE WELLNESS EXAM, who would of known. I also went in for his teeth examination for possible cleaning. She said she woul... read more

Ever since Animal Care Clinic left a private practice and joined into the corporate setting, the service and quality of care has dwindled. There is constant text or email messages when time and time again it's been said to the staff that "this is not a service or procedure we want" but beacuse of the corporate aspect of the setting it's just a reminder and they have no way of opting out.

https://stateline.org/2024/03/29/vets-fret-as-private-equity-snaps-up-clinics-pet-care-companies/ I have no doubt that the employees here love animals and got into the business to help. I started coming here back when it was called Thrive Affordable Vet Clinic. Back before Petco bought them and before the Private Equity firms got involved. I can see why they took the Affordable part out of the name. Its extremely clear that this is a money grabbing business. Profit over People and Pets. They take advantage of people's love ... read more

Please consider looking for clinics other than thrive. Our experience was of one hustle after another from the initial "free exam" to the suddenly we have an opening and you can leave the pet then to one add on after another and the bill just kept escalating to the point if reduculous. We also got two separate phone calls to make an attempt to add on more unnecessary care that would have run the bill an additional 100.00! We had originally taken in a stray male cat that was living under a neighbor's porch for a simple neuter... read more

I went there to just get a vaccine for my dog before boarding him. My dog is EXTREMELY lovable and wouldn't hurt anyone. The tech said he tried to bite her and kicked her in the chest so they wanted to sedate him and give him a shot in the morning and refused to do anything today. This place just tries to take advantage of you and upsell. I went to Sam Bass Veterinary Wellness and they got him the shot and had absolutely NO problems with him. Horrible place.

After coming in to get my dogs medicine. The reception desk had me stand and wait 5 minutes while they typed on the keyboard. Then stated that it would take several minutes to get it ready but that she would have to check in everyone before helping. Not sure if they just need more staff or properly trained staff on how to deal with people.

Had appointments for our cats, one at 2:45 and the other at 3:15. Found out that they couldn't find the records for one of our cats who has only gone here since we got her (2 years ago). Then they said that there were multiple records for her which is an issue with their system. Then was told that neither cat was due for any shots or anything until November of 2025 and we have been getting automated calls for several months saying they're overdue for their appointments, which apparently is also a known problem with their ... read more

This is really not worth taking your dog/cat to. At first, for routine check ups and vaccine updates it was fine. They would always try to oversell but I thought that's just what vets do. We noticed they would charge us "exam fees" for a booster even though a) there was no exam and b) the pet was JUST examined shortly prior to the booster. The booster was just a follow up visit with no exam. Anyways, moving along-still no big complaints I guess. Our cat started acting different and was looking for more comfort and develo... read more

I took my dog here when I first got her and was given advice that I was later criticized for (and made to feel like a careless caretaker for my dog) by a different vet at the same location. She was always fine with everyone, never aggressive at all, but in 2020 I couldn't be with her at the vet and they came out and demanded I give her sedatives for the next visit. The sedatives were NOT cheap, but I accepted it though I was puzzled by it. I went to another vet after her next visit where they said I needed to give her a h... read more
