Hello I wanted to let you know that our dog had to have a canine pyometra spay. Our little dog is 9 years old she had an infection that needed immediate surgery. It was either that or euthanasia. Dr. Smallwood advised us this would be the best thing to do is the surgery. Writing this review for sure is an emotional one for me & to be honest I'd rather not write it but me not sharing our experience would just be selfish. Our 6 1/2 year old pit bull mix Sensei wasn't eating well, had lost some weight, & had no energy so we ended up taking him to Thrive Affordable Vet Care & the Vet recommended we run some labs to see what was going on & it turns out Sensei had a heart murmur & kidney damage, most likely he was born with both conditions. I LOVE THIS VET! Number one - it lives up to its name, it is incredibly affordable. That is a freaking miracle, right? I always hated taking my pets to the vet bc it was a ton of money for a bunch of nothing. Here, the price matches what I think vets should cost in my head! On top of being very affordable, the service is great and everyone there is super nice. They are helpful and seem to do the least invasive and least expensive option first. I recommend coming here if you need to get your pet a vet. The vets have a rotating schedule so usually it's a new person each time I come, but I've loved each person who has helped out my baby with her hyperthyroidism and each vet does a great job picking up where the last one left off. If I wanted to I could get a schedule of when certain people come in, but I love how everyone has been with my fur baby. The vet techs are always the same and they are very helpful. I choose Thrive because I wanted quick, affordable yearly vaccines for my two cats. I made an appointment two weeks in advance. I arrived five minutes early. I waited nearly an hour to see the doctor and get their exams and vaccines. The doctor was nice and apologized for the wait, claiming they were short staffed. She was gentle with my cats and got their exams and vaccines done efficiently. They gave me an estimate for dental for my older cat, but were not pushy about it. The staff at Thrive were awesome,they saw my dog within 1 hour of me calling them about my dogs eye problem. The price was cheaper than I expected it to be and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely return if needed.

I am very impressed with Thrive and will definitely continue to bring my dogs and cat here. I recently adopted a kitten that had all of his vaccines and a dewormer and wanted an appointment to just check that everything was okay. I called around Round Rock and was getting quotes of $60+ and I had already paid for everything else and was not interested in spending that much money for a 5 minute "he looks good" appointment. Came home from work one night to find my dog Rex in severe pain to where he refused to walk. Called the next morning as soon as they opened to ask if they could take Rex in. The receptionist at first said I had to be on a wait list since they were booked for the day, she was very kind and understanding about my situation since I couldn't wait a few days for them to see him.
