Timberline is a great treatment I have been here for a almost seven months and they have supported me into finding who I really am. I owe my life to the staff, the treatment and this place.
I know TK is shut down but I need to say this somewhere. I was there for a week, and it was one of the worst weeks of my life. There was a man there who would walk in on girls changing on purpose, when other staff were told about this, they did nothing. I do not remember his name and that kills me because I want to look him up to see if he was ever fired, but for all I know he could still be working with children. Everyone who perpetuated the child abuse at Timberline Knolls should be ashamed of themselves.
I was there for about 1 and a half weeks. was the absolute most horrible residential ive been to. 1 I was there for an eating disorder which they did not have a good program as they were mainly focused on depression, anxiety, addiction and the other categories that fit in that realm. I barely met with my therapist upon admission as well as not once did I see my psychiatrist. the lodge I was on(oak) was absolutely filthy, and gross. All the bad reviews I'd say are pretty accurate. I was there for res for about a month or two in 2023 when I was freshly 18. For a while a couldn't recall most of what happened there because it was so traumatic, but after reading the reviews some of it is coming back to me so I'll join the hate train for this place lol. Not a good place to work when lies are told to a judge in order to make employee look bad. BHA with bachelor's degree in psychology (Former Employee) was sent to various lodges where help was needed. LEMONT IL. A faithful, reliable worker. It was clear early on that the place had very poor management. The facility was always understaffed, causing safety concerns for residents and staff. Coming 2/13.... It's about time this facility was shut down. TK is a disgrace to the mental health field and they have failed to do their job in every way possible. Patients were not protected, supported or given proper treatment here. They should be ashamed of themselves and honestly, I'm shocked that some of the administration is not in prison for what they allowed to go on here. I'm truly grateful they will not be able to provide services and treat people ever again!
Do yourself a favor do not go to this place.i took my daughter to this place last year for scoliosis treatment everything was a lie nd fraud.xray they gave us was lies about improvement. I pay them $14,000.dollars in cash for nothing. We end up went through the surgery that we were running away from. I wish i can get my money back from this doctor.
Timberline Knolls residential treatment center is awful. Go somewhere else! Communication is terrible. Most employees are temps or contract workers. You will not interact with any staff member shown on the website. The doctor is a hack. Therapists are inexperienced. The website is deceiving. If you send a family member to the residence or PHP program there you will regret it.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. It took me a while to post this review, but I decided to once a friend of mine went here recently and had a similar experience, for a while I was trying to convince myself that it was just my experience but I guess not.
