This facility is such a slap in the face. As a father looking to get his 13 year old daughter help. It's difficult to explain just how far this place set her back. The whole experience for my child was awful! They don't have enough staff and she was assaulted 3 times. Also they are run very poorly and disorganized. They did a surprise cavity search with the teens. They should be illegal. It is not necessary to do that. The girls weren't hiding anything. It was used to control them and ruin their self esteem. never discussed weight goals with me & since it was my first time in treatment i didn't know it was a thing. i gained 60 lbs here, was horrified when i got home & relapsed immediately!!!!

Absolutely a fraud. My daughter was treated like a leper here. $40,000 and all they did was drive her to a few AA meetings in a month.

DO NOT SEND YOUR DAUGHTER TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE AND RECOVER! We read all of the reviews and were PROMISED they weren't true by a therapist that used to work at Timberline Knolls, so we sent our daughter there, 8/2023. The reviews are ALL true! Drama, physical and verbal fights, lack of staff for support, zero communication to the family of the resident, no support by the staff who are there with the personalities of a grain of salt...and the list goes on. my daughter was sent there in 2022 in febuary she was threatened to be killed by many teens she was only 12 and she would cry to me on the phone begging to come home after a kid and a roomate planned to kill her they moved her into a diffrent room she was treated like trash and came out being scared of everything if you want help go to newport the comunication was horrible the dissmissed her trauma and told her to stop crying

I can't say how negative my experience was at this residential treatment facility. I left feeling more triggered, and not equipped at all to handle my eating disorder outside in the world.

TK was my hope for the help I needed. I did not receive that. I had five minutes with a psych every two weeks. No medication changes. My therapist, Colleen, called me a liar and told me in her exact words, "I will not help you any longer" when I expressed my concern about leaving after one week. I did. I did not have another therapy session for the remaining three weeks I was there. I was a patient at timberline knolls in june-july. I was extremely upset about going, I was sober before I even arrived. I was 18 and living with my parents. I got sent to tk out of inpatient. I'm disappointed at the lack of training and behavioral concerns tolerance. I dealt with self harm and SI, so they made me sleep on couches in the public spaces nearly the entire stay.
