Please don't go here for yourself and don't send a love one here. They do so many basically illegal things there. Dangerous really. You will not receive proper, safe care. I say this as a registered nurse who used to work here. Had to leave cause I was terrified I'd lose my license.
Before I begin, I have to advise you, please DO NOT GO HERE. This is a long review and even if you do not read it, just know to choose a different treatment center if seeking help. I would give negative stars if possible. I went to Timberline Knolls in August of this past year (2021). I am a 20 year old female and was extremely hesitant to give up my autonomy and check myself in, due to previous trauma with boundaries and not being in charge of my actions. After reading many terrible reviews, I still insisted on going becau... read more

I was at timberline Knolls for about three months and they definitely falsely advertised that this was a residential treatment center for mental health issues when it is purely for eating disorders of a specific nature. While I was there I was negatively impacted by a lot of their teachings which may very well apply to some people with severe anorexia however it was very close minded and only open to one kind of healing. I feel that I did not get the treatment that I needed for both my mental health issues and my eating diso... read more
Horrid communication Non-existent discharge plan Not even MINIMAL assistance with financial applications. Adult child there for well over 2 months. No income and unable to work due to illness and exacerbation of symptoms. Getting 0 assistance with applications for appropriate housing/ Medicare/ or other benefits; no discharge planning whatsoever Just sent said adult a bill today, over 30k. After excellent insurance coverage provided by parent as they are under 26. (BCBSPPO) Nothing like overwhelming your clients without ac... read more

Lack of trained and caring professionals, disorganized, and sketchy as their website advertises something much different than what you actually experience. My 3 days there were traumatic and I would not recommend to anyone.

Don't send your family there. I was there a week ago. I left after 4 days because of the lack of treatment. We had 29 girls on our lodge and only 4 staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I had no issues with the staff just lack of staff. This is a locked facility. You are able to smoke only no vaping. You could get clean air sometimes. There where fake sd's there. The community ganged up on one girl and got into a steaming match with her. It was very triggering for many of the clients. There was also a ... read more

I wish I read the reviews and took them seriously. Timberline Knolls was so bad that it's almost laughable. Almost. The staff don't care, and the BHAs are overworked and underpaid (Brendan, Tierra, and Ashley, I'm so sorry for you). I'm going to name drop- Collin is a joke (and a misogynist), Angie screwed up my meds multiple times, Dr Silva did nothing to address the serious bullying problem, and the kitchen is so horribly incompetent that they often forget what they're serving. Bullying was a big problem- I'm 23 and ha... read more

The staff is unpleasant, there is no personal care, they are under supplied and to top it all off, they are experiencing a COVID outbreak that is being poorly managed and continues to spread. Wish I could rate it lower. There are better options out there and I urge you to find one!
Our daughter was at TK, IL in late March 2020, during Covid. She has Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, ED-BED, Bipolar 2. She was not at TK very long as her vitals necessitated a move to inpatient hospitalization. However, a few comments on her short stay - since she had suicidal ideation, she was not allowed to sleep in her room. Instead she had to sleep in milieu, where it was never completely dark or quiet. Note to staff - eating and making noise where patients are trying to sleep prohibits them from getting good sleep... read more
