they work most of the time but not all of ... they work most of the time but not all of the time. I will not buy an after market toner because we are to dependent on the finish product.
GOODNESS GRACIOUS AWFUL TONER Terrible toner. Seems like counterfeit goods so bad; Operating two of these toner cartridge in two different copiers and getting same bad results; fuzzy images and even black images due to poor toner output control. I honestly do not believe these are real Brother Toners. Amazingly poor quality. Will not buy again. Absolutely not worth the money.
Spend the money to get a certified toner. I initially made the mistake of purchasing an after market toner, the thing leaked constantly and left either streaks or spots on everything I printed. I only used it for a couple of days and tossed it. Spend the extra money and get a genuine certified toner, it may cost more but in the long run you will be much more satisfied.
Reset the toner cartridge counter to squeeze a few more days out of your old cartridge Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge fan of Brother printers. In the good old days, when we ran low on toner, we would see those bare spots in prints and everyone knew to take the toner cartridge out, giggle it around and reinstall it to squeeze out a few more prints while we ordered a new cartridge. WHAT A MESS!! I got 2 brother printer cartridges and one printer drum unite. The drum unite worked fine for 2 weeks or so and then left lines on paper or ink on side of paper. The printer cartridges, one worked fine and the other worked fine up until the end when it looked like it leaked all over the inside of the printer. We pulled it out and it continued to leak and spill all over! SO well tossed it! EEEK!
Have not had good luck with this printer or cartridges The cartridge leaked soon after installing it. We purchase items to have on hand in advance of needing them, and unfortunately it has burned us since we can't return it. Have not had good luck with this printer or cartridges. Save yourself time and money; buy a different printer.
6129 pages before HL-5450DN refused to print any more As others have noted, this toner IS high yield but not quite as high as advertised. At ISO/IEC 19752 standards (i.e. 5% coverage), this toner should be rated for 8000 pages. However, per a Maintenance report printed by the machine, this toner has only given me 6129 pages at an average coverage of 5.80% before it entered a Replace Toner mode which would not allow me to print anymore. Actual print count is 23% lower than advertised. I am always satisfied with the print quality and consistency of Brother OEM supplies, however the "real life" print count is significantly off. My profession is in finance, so the majority of the documents I print are text and numbers. I never print anything that has solid graphics, images, or coverage in general. I am on my third toner.
