I started coming here about five months ago when my dog was attacked by another dog, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Not only is the whole staff caring and wonderfully attentive, they have kindly allowed me to bombard them with phone calls (I'm kind of a paranoid dog parent!). Their prices are also quite reasonable and I truly recommend switching over and giving them your business.

University Pet Clinic saved our Charlie's life. Dr. Mckilvena and the staff are absolutely amazing and we will forever be grateful to them for not giving up on Charlie when he was just a baby kitten and was on the verge of dying. Mona (my pooch) and I had a great experience with UVHDC. I needed to take her in for a routine exam, vaccines, and heartworm test. Making an appointment over the phone was easy, and they got me in within a few days. The waiting room is large and the front desk staff is very friendly. The wait was reasonable to get into a room and we were made at home during our wait. Dr. Forney was our vet, and she was absolutely fantastic! When we moved to SLC a few years ago, we looked for a vet for our two dogs. I looked online, and this one was in our neighborhood and the reviews were pretty good. My dogs get a check-up and up to date on their shots every year. All the vets we have seen have been terrific. The technicians have been good too! The all female staff is great! We just adopted a little pup and since we live just down the street we were happy to have such a wonderful experience. I stopped in during the afternoon on my own to check it out and the receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. She gave me so much information about the office and the packages and services. A few hours later, we decided to take our little pup, Max, in to get more information. I used to bring my 2 cats here when I lived in SLC, and they always received great care. The prices always seemed reasonable. However, once I moved to another state I called University Veterinary Hospital to have them forward one cat's medical records to my new vet. No big deal you would think, eh? Think again. My cat was scheduled for a dental cleaning and possible extraction, and my new vet really wanted to see the records from his previous dental work, including the x-rays. I could not be more pleased with the care and attention that was given to our ridgeback ,Titan, and my husband and I this morning. We were greeted instantly and seen by the technician in only a few minutes. The tech (Shay?) was very helpful. As for Dr. Walton, She was by far the selling point for me. She was extremely patient with all of my questions which means a lot as I really hate it when I forget or elect not to ask something bc I feel rushed. Love the people, facility and service. Only negitive is they are usually more expensive then other locations... sometimes several hundred dollars more. Neuter for our dog was quoted at almost $500... found less then $300 at several other places. Great people though.

I recommend this vet, to everyone and anyone. They truly care about your pets that you bring in. they care about the animals health, happiness, and wellness.
