I was very impressed with the knowledge and compassion on my first visit. I called 30 minutes before closing(I was one of those people!) concerned about my cat. They were able to see me right away, and were extremely welcoming, never making me feel like a bother for coming in so late. Been going to UVHDC for the last 5 years. Took our two dogs to this place last week for various tests, shots, and checkups. Couldn't be happier with UVHDC! The staff is very personable and friendly. Dr. Zelnik especially took the time to talk to us and explained everything we needed to know.
I took my dog here yesterday to talk about vaccinations and heartworm prevention, since we recently relocated to the area. EVERYONE here was so friendly, and while the vet informed us of available bloodwork and vaccinations, she never pushed anything on us. My dog *loved* Dr. McCarron! I took a chance coming here because of other positive yelp reviews, and I'm so glad I did. I love that the front desk staff always greet us and give Lucy treeats. I love that the techs get right down and personal with my Lucy. I love that they listen to me and pay attention to me bumbling my way through explaining symptoms. I love that the vets don't hesitate to consult with each other to ensure that they have another set of eyes looking at test reults. The way the staff treats my pup means so much to me and is the reason I'll not only remain loyal, but will highly recommend to anyone who will listen.
My cat Spike received the best care here--his kidneys were failing and we were able to extend his life for an extra month. We had to put him to sleep , but they were so professional and kind and understanding about the experience. Naturally I was very sad, but they were so wonderful. They even sent a condolence card. Highly recommended!

I started coming here about five months ago when my dog was attacked by another dog, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Not only is the whole staff caring and wonderfully attentive, they have kindly allowed me to bombard them with phone calls (I'm kind of a paranoid dog parent!). Their prices are also quite reasonable and I truly recommend switching over and giving them your business.
University Pet Clinic saved our Charlie's life. Dr. Mckilvena and the staff are absolutely amazing and we will forever be grateful to them for not giving up on Charlie when he was just a baby kitten and was on the verge of dying. Mona (my pooch) and I had a great experience with UVHDC. I needed to take her in for a routine exam, vaccines, and heartworm test. Making an appointment over the phone was easy, and they got me in within a few days. The waiting room is large and the front desk staff is very friendly. The wait was reasonable to get into a room and we were made at home during our wait. Dr. Forney was our vet, and she was absolutely fantastic!
