Positive and upbeat about our geriatric dog with lots of fatty tumors is going to live for quite a while. He is feeling better than he has in a long time. Dr. Zelnic took the time to get to know him not just his parents.
Pablo knows the minute I say, "Let's go see Dr. McCarron", he's going to the clinic. He's pretty excited until we get there. Typical, right??
Our dog was nervous at first, but your friendly staff was so great with him. By the end of our visit he didn't want to leave
Dr. Zelnic just gets me. I am a nervous pet mom and I do not like "procedures" done on my dogs. Putting my dogs under creates a ton of stress or me as I have seen the effects it has on humans. She is always quick to respond to those concerns with both of our dogs. Your staff from the front desk to the techs are always kind and courteous. They are quick to get back with test results and any other general question.
I can't even begin to explain how great the care is at University Pet Hospital... We have brought multiple pets here and each time they are greeted with love and care. My puppy just got spayed and everyone told me how awful they feel after and to expect her to be in a lot of pain and very unhappy. This was not my experience at all. She got attention from multiple technicians through the entire process and was treated with such great care. My Great Dane recently got a horrible rash that would not subside. Two vets and $200 later I've finally brought her in to see the wonderful staff at the U of U clinic. They've been so helpful and knowledgeable in diagnosing her problem. I feel so much more comfortable with this issue in their hands. They've kept me informed every step of the way and their staff is so sweet and personable. The only reason I give them 4/5 is the cost. When preparing to welcome home a puppy, University Veterinary Hospital came highly recommended from fellow parents to fur-babies. We've brought Huxley (our Staffordshire Bull Terrier) here from day 1. The staff are so friendly and remember our dog by name. The clinic is on the pricer side, but they go above and beyond to take care of their patients, so for me, the extra price is absolutely worth it.
Knowledgeable vets and techs who explain every aspect of my cat's treatment. They don't jump in and perform every possible test/treatment, but judiciously take things a step at a time, and then plan for the next step (if it becomes necessary). Over-treating is a common problem at some veterinary clinics, leaving one to wonder if it's just a way to inflate their bottom line. I never feel that way at University Vet Hospital.
