Our dog Cookie was old and was suffering from several issues. We reached out to several places to ask how much to euthanize her and the response was horrifying as far as $$$$$. We called West Hills Animal Hospital, not only their price was extremely reasonable. They took our dog Cookie right away, they were very comforting through the process by explaining everything to us A week later, we received a card from them signed by all members with their condolences I highly recommend West Hills animal hospital *****

This is the best staff and facility. We drove from West LA to the location in West Hills (apx. 25 miles away) as we have followed Dr. Tyler for years. Dr. Tyler loves our dogs and us as a collective family. Much respect! We had a first visit to the location yesterday as our dogs needed specific care. We were in and out, inclusive of a procedure that required sedation for the one of the dogs, within a couple of hours. Furthermore, as important as it is to love our dogs, it is 50-75% less expensive than the cost/fees we ... read more

Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated. We are excited to hear that Dr. Tyler and our team provided excellent care for Roxy and Lulu. Thank you for choosing West Hills Animal Hospital.

Dr. Hengst is an excellent vet. She's patient, empathetic, explains things well, and never makes you feel rushed. In February, she had to give us some very sad news about our cat Lewis. Her ultrasound revealed a serious heart condition, and she recommended us to VSEC for emergency care (which has proven to be another excellent veterinary service). Thanks to Dr. Hengst's diligence, Lewis is still alive today.

Business response:

We're grateful for your kind words about Dr. Hengst's care for Lewis. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I've had two dogs that I've taken here over the last 13 years and I had to write this because people really need to know the good places from the bad. The best thing about this place is the way it is managed and I realize I've always taken it for granted until I had to use another hospital for a surgery or emergency visit. The staff there are WONDERFUL. I love these people for taking so much care of my dog. They have incredible systems where you get called back, reminders for next visits, when you call to reorder medicine th... read more

I can't even put into words how incredible this place is. Everyone there genuinely cares about the animals they see. They don't try to upsell you like most vets do. They are so kind and compassionate and they know what they're doing and they're great at it. If I could give 100 stars I would. Would definitely recommend anyone to go here for their animals vet needs!! Thank you all so much for everything!

Just like most vet centers- too expensive. Understandable that these services are pricey, but $700+ for a single cat spay service is not going to attract any new clients or encourage folks to spay/neuter their pets. We live in the neighborhood and they have always been too expensive for us- then again with wealthier folks in this community, it's clear they stay in business just fine.

When we moved to the neighborhood many years ago, someone said West Hills Animal Hospital wasn't very good. So we continued to use our vet of 30+ years in Simi Valley, even though their prices were really high. But last year we had an emergency when one of our dogs was in a fight, and gravely injured. West Hills Animal Hospital is only a few blocks from our home so my wife took our dog here. They took our dog right in to surgery and patched her up. And to my great surprise the bill was considerably less than our own vet wo... read more

There okay but in my opinion expensive. Nice people but they try and upsell you for treatments not needed. My wife has been coming here since we adopted our kitten. After one year the office staff indicated that our now cat had a growth and that it might be cancer. Scaring my wife, she came home with and estimate of approximately $500 to $3000 depending on what was found. I wanted a second opinion so I took our cat to Agoura Animal Hospital and met with Dr. Berry. Dr. Berry met with me, had a nice conversation and told me to... read more
