The apartment we rented was expensive for the space and quality. Before moving in, the floors, walls, and counter was chipped. Additionally, the paint job was so cheap that it peeled off even if you left paper on it. The walls were very thin, which made the apartment very cold in the winter. out of my four years living in isla vista, wolfe and associates is WORST leasing company that i've rented from. to start, their management is terrible. scott is a rude money- hungry prick. during the covid pandemic, only certain apartments were allowed to end their lease early and receive money back. i guess it's up to them to decide which tenants deserve rent relief! what a joke of a company. secondly, the apartment was disgusting when we moved in. the appliances were dirty, window screens were bent, and stains on the wall.... read more
DO NOT CHOSE WOLFE AND ASSOCIATES! ! ! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH TERRIBLE PROPERTY SERVICE. I wish I could give it 0 star if I could. All of the managers of Wolfe have no idea what they are doing. The WORST leasing company EVER. For starters, when I moved in the wood under the sink had water damage and was rotting, the drywall in the bathroom had a hole from water damage, and the windows in the bedroom were covered in mold. This company is terrible to rent from! Don't do it even if you're desperate find somewhere else! They'll steal your money any way they can after your lease is over, and they'll try to impose late fees on rent even though it's paid on time!
DO NOT RENT HERE Lived in one of their properties for a year, it was a dump when we moved in. Anyway we took good care of the place, kept it clean, didn't break anything, but when we moved out they took 70 percent of our security deposit for things like "heavy" cleaning, phony plumbing charges, hauling trash from a dumpster shared by at least two other buildings, replacing things that were in bad shape when we moved in, and various other made up charges. Jennifer (McGuire?) is truly the most patronizing and least tactful representative I have ever spoken to. Upon returning my call she rushingly blurted that my voicemail was unintelligible (which even if it was, is quite a condescending beginning to what should be a quick, informative call about a billing question) and explained that any rent payment division is a topic to be discussed with my housemates, rather than Wolfe's office- something completely irrelevant to the question at hand. I have never written a review before but doing business with these people was so ridiculous I just had to warn everyone. We viewed and apartment with Coleen (who is great) We loved it. These people have less than 2 stars for a reason. This is the LEAST accommodating management company I've had the displeasure of dealing with. I swear to god it's more worth it to not live under their bs management than to live in the exact area you want. They overcharge for absolutely every single thing they can, they give zero notice for showing your unit ( which doesn't make any sense bc would you want the unit to be cleaner than normal?). Looks like you were charged $125.17 for a window glass repair and on average most homeowners pay between $161 and $355 to replace window glass. The only other charge on your units account was a $89.87 screen replacement charge, which was the exact amount ABS Glass company billed us for the work.
