My name is Scott Tracy. I live at Sawmill Creek Apartments #22-104 for 3 years. 1st Lake are slum lords. For 2 years I have complained about the window in my bedroom not opening. 2 hurricanes knocked out power and for 2 years and I could not get it open. When all I have is a broken sliding glass door and 1 window I could not stay in here. Also, it is a fire trap which I am filing a complaint with fire inspectors. I currently live at one of the Kenner properties and the front office staff is rude, specifically Virgil. They have not done anything about the roaches, growth on my walls and now noise complaints about neighbors being loud all night for multiple nights in a row. I was told by staff that they can not do anything about noise overnight but can try to call the tenant. I was told to call the police with issues. I have been a resident of Flowergate apartments in Metairie for 5 years and I have had A LOT of problems since I’ve been here. From the entire buildings’ plumbing backing up into mine, the ceiling collapsing in my daughter’s bedroom ruining her bed, tv, and clothes, the living room ceiling leaking (not once but twice) over my couch that I had to replace, and minor appliance issues that were probably from normal wear. Roof was damaged during Ida. Came home to my ceiling falling down. I had to clear the debris myself and carry everything out of my apartment. Spoke with assistant manager Saturday. She couldn’t answer any questions about repairs or time lines. Started raining yesterday. Water pouring from the ceiling. Called after hours and waited 2 hours for someone to show up. I’ve had problems with my unit since moving here. I swear I look at it like the unit was never move in ready. 1st let’s talk about the gnats. They are horrible and made me feel like I wasn’t taking care of home. I had to put up the sticky things in the ceiling. Still have to replace them every so often. Second my dishwater always had backed up water in it. I’ve never used it since living here. 3rd I’ve had plumbing issues and now I’m dealing with water and mold with a son that has an condition. I am still currently a resident here in building 5343. My lease is up in January. Of course hurricane Ida just wreaked havoc on Louisiana. I know Entergy is not a problem of the complex… I am just curious on why half of the complex has power and nearly all of Elmwood, yet my building is still without power. The crossings. Maintenance is so extremely slow. Front office is horribly rude and doesn’t seem to care about it’s tenants. Collects rent even though the apartments ac and oven was broken and quite frankly unlivable. I’m Telling everybody to stay away from this place. They simply do not care about their tenants. Every appliance is extremely outdated and every time there is a problem with one, especially the AC unit, they jerry rig it and don’t bother replacing appliances that are obviously out of date and unsafe.
