july 8 moved from one apt to another apt 50yds away in the same conplex. my first call mentioned $119/hr as a returned customer discount. and they wanted a $100 deposit. said I'd call back friday to make the deposit. the day before the move they called to confirm time, i said originally 11am-2pm was a good timeframe. i just wanted them to move heavy stuff. they mentioned they normally charge a gas fee but since i was just moving literally 50yrds then they wouldnt do it. the guy went on to say, now there is an inital 119/... read more
If you are considering this company, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT. Especially if you will ever have any sort of interaction with William, or "Willy." Today, All My Sons was given mine and my husband's business, which was an incredibly poor choice on our part that I will own. My booking started off really fantastic. A gentlemen named Mike was super helpful in the beginning. I had to call and change my date which I was told was "no problem at all". I called back today to ask about disposing of items and was told it would be $200. I let them know I would call back in a few minutes to confirm I needed this service. After no less than 5 minutes I called back and the guy told me "we are too busy and cant offer that". We were quoted $1700 maximum over the phone for a 2 process move (move from house to storage for a month, then to new house). Well, the move just from the house to storage was $2200. I called and spoke with Joseph, who says he is a co-owner, and he said I shouldn’t have been verbally quoted $1700, and he would get back to me regarding the price of the second move. If you are moving im the Dallas area and looking for movers don't use All My Sons moving company. They quoted me a bid for using 4 men and at last min they only sent 3 men and only reduced my cost by 40 dollars. Ended up taking three more hours than it should have cost me 650 dollars more. And charged me 100 dollars in gas for a 3min drive from house to house.
Was told something different when I booked the move than when they called to confirm it. While I'm sure they are high quality they are absolutely the most expensive local move provider. They have the highest bill rates out of 4 reputable local movers I have investigated. They bill a fixed price at the full labor rate for their trip to and from their offices to you based on mileage and time calculation regardless of whether or not it really takes that much time. Broke both arms of an antique chest of drawers, then hid the evidence behind a mattress frame. Purposely unloaded boxes upside down, forgot a TV on the truck, then left it in the rain. And my final bill was hundreds of dollars over what I was originally quoted. I could go on, but I’ll spare you by just saying that this is the single worst experience I’ve had with any company in my 45 years of life. Avoid at all cost. Avoid like the plague.
They were supposed to move us early this morning, but due to a “scheduling conflict” didn’t show up til 5 pm. Still have nothing moved in and it is 7:30 pm. In addition have not made it to our storage building yet.
